I agree with caedmonfan. This is about being free as long as you have Christ.
God helped me come out of my shell - he sent me a my girlfriend, the love of my life, and she in turn helped give me confidence. That's why this song means so much to me; I sung this as a solo at a Youth Praise Service. It was so meaningful to me because singing that made me feel that I was finally free of everything, and I was finally my own person.
