The song is about addiction. When you do drugs you are killing yourself thus the lyrics you say this is suicide? I say this is a war.
The song starts off referring to trying drugs once but having them take over your life. I don't personally know oliver sykes but I'm a recovering heroin addict and this song hits home really hard. But if youve never experienced having drugs on your mind and having them run your life every minute every hour every day, well then you can believe that this is just another song about broken hearts.
