I feel this is definitely about a relationship of some sort. Letting the one you love down, and when they're gone you still feel the need to express how you feel, even if you know they're not listening and that they won't take you back. Regardless if you've changed or not. Somehow, saying it all helps you find your inner peace. Knowing that though you've made mistakes and possibly taken things for granted, the person means everything to you and you do love them, and if you had the chance, you'd go back and really express it because the sparks are there.
