And though she believes that love is not worth the pain, she finds that one person for whom she's willing to give it a shot, hence "the only exception." and because of him, she's on her way to believing in love (:

Meaning
If we look at the music video, I think its about how we build up these wonderful dreams to shield us from the harsh realities. The little girl represents hayley's dream self going off to her wonderland and after a while, her world is shattered by the evils of the real world. When she escapes wonderland, she falls into the hole where the real hayley is "burying the castle;" living in reality. She throws the doll in the hole to symbolize she doesn't need dreams anymore, because reality and truth is enough. What do you think? Btw, didn't she look so pretty? (:
