This is a cover of the 1997 hit "One Headlight" by the Wallflowers. Sitting in my car alone one sunny afternoon it dawned on me that this would make an excellent dance song, mostly due to the pulsating rhythm of the bass guitar. I went to the studio the very next day and tried some different synth patches on this song. I'm not sure what the song is really about but for me I feel it expresses a disappointment for the sad life of someone who has died without purpose. I believe we all think about death fairly often, it's part of what makes us human. So for me, even though the lyrics are deeply sad, they hold an extremely important message. What started as a simple recording experiment for fun turned out to be a really great musical moment captured on tape.
