Meaning
This song is about a young person, who is struggling through their life. They feel the need to hie themselves from society and others as they as scared and insecure. He (Or she) is worried that their social clique will disintegrate now that they have removed their mask. But, is reassured by the singer of this song that their faith and belief in a higher power. (In this case, the christian god) will help them to pull through everything. The person is told by the singer of this song, that if she removes her mask and looks to the skies for inspiration from her god, she will be blessed by him, and be able to become a newer and cleansed person, by the strength of his spirit. This song, is also about not losing the faith that one may already have. "Get back in the saddle" could mean that the person that Lain and Wookie are singing about, may have their faith but have lost it due to a series of unexpected events which have lead to the loss of her faith, and the need to re-gain it. The realization of responsibility is one of the hardest things that a person can do. Wookie and Lain try to sing about this person in a way that shows her as being restless and needing something solid to trust and believe in.
