I heard these lyrics differently, idk where these came from so I could be wrong but I like mine more:
"I got everything and I know what to do
I can run the show cut the inventory too
Howling at the moon, howling at the moon
I can fire 45s all day into the sun
And say good bye
Let the shooting stars, let the crashing cars
Let the future pass, wasn't made to last
I didn't know, I didn't know, I didn't know
At night I cry and howl at the moon
At night I cry and howl at the moon
Say goodbye for now, wont see it again
All the stars at night, won't save my friends
Howl at the moon, howl at the moon
Howl at the...
At night I cry and howl at the moon
At night I cry and howl at the moon
And if I ever fall asleep, I'll turn it around and face the sea
Yeah I will crucify my dreams to be on your side
To see you alive
To see you alive
To see you alive"
Mmkay meaning for me - lyrics are so subjective obviously I am going to relate this to my own experience but hey whatevs.
Has everything they need and feels they can do anything they want but still haven't found "happiness". Life is about meaningful moments, small and big. They aren't made to last so you let them pass but if you aren't present you end up regretting it in the future b/c really you missed out on everything. Missing someone/something a part of themselves, cannot find wholeness.
Life is life and you cannot control it, which depending on how you look at it is terribly depressing but if you believe in a something grander than our perception then it is liberating.
