I'm not big on meanings of songs or anything. But this song does strike me because its such an amazing yet true statement. To me this song indicates that this girl was the girl that the boy never seems to see more than just an average girl or friend. She loved him and dreamed daily and wished every moment that he would just sweep her off her feet like in romantic books or on love movies as Eragon661 pointed out. Though she desperately loved and dreamed he ended up hurting her and probably didn't notice until it was too late and he realized she doesn't need any of this. Love does happen but not in was that many girls would dream. This is just my thought of the song. I'm sure there are different way this song could go but this is just a thought. By the way. I really do love this song.
