I feel like what they're trying to say here is that we should all just live our lives with a carefree outlook. And we should not succumb ourselves to the vicious cycle that the world has such as revenge because it would only lead us to death, plain death and not a death that comes after a meaningful life. That's what the song is saying to me. We are entitled to our own interpretation so this is just an opinion. By the way, those who commented awfully, you probably haven't heard the music and just read the lines above without listening.
