Well I think the song is about being in a situation, a difficult situation, a situation that you cannot liberate yourself from. "you want to be free" But the truth is that you will never be trully free of the situation until you let go off it mentally. "i'm already dead" I think the song is about people who hold on to the pain of past events causing them to live it over and over again in thier heads. "my home is your head". We can never be trully free until we free ourselves from our habitual thoughts.
