Note where he says - "and things change" -- this could be a hint to the lines "and then it goes back" from Wavin Flag. -- People are debating what "and then it goes back" -- I think in this and other songs we see a philosophy -- could be more African than North American -- could be from growing up having to dodge bullets -- the feeling that there is no certainty. And then it goes back, and things change.
