A Father is the recepient of the roses from his daughter. The 18 yellow roses are her way of telling her Dad that as happens to most Dads that he is losing his daughter to another man. Another man will be taking away the primary role that the Dad has played in her life up to that point. In spite of that he tells her that his love for her will go on forever.
