This is a love song. I believe it is about someone who is in love with someone and they keep tellin the person " i told you I would stay" but the other person is wary so is keeping their distance or just making the possibility of a relationship harder. When he sings " maybe sometimes, make it easy, take your time" hes saying can you let up a bit? Look, I'm still here, I haven't gone anywhere. And I'm not going to, I'm here to stay.

Beautiful song. Amazing. I believe it is about a relationship but he isn't sure why he is still in it. When he says " nothing to sing about that makes you lie awake" he is saying I don't inspire you anymore, we have nothing to say to eachother anymore. When he says "no reason why you wore me down worse" he doesn't know why he is sticking around. Theres maybe alot of fighting and no more fun in the relationship. And when he says "show me something good" he is begging her to give him a reason to stay cause he does love her but he can't think of a reason to stay.
