Its so amazing reading Johns lyrics, hes so complex, but that's why we love him I guess, anyway, I think on the whole, its about helpless feelings of depression, putting him in a place where he loses something precious, as a result of his state of mind, and melancholy, but also about the confusion of the whole 'why is the grass always greener on the other side ' thing? Also too, maybe about how daunting it is to actually be totally happy, and not finding solace and contentment in that, but how being in a good place with everything in life, has adverse affects on him, like its scary to have everything you want, because theres nothing else left to wish for?
