Only he did not start from the bottom. Granted, his parents did go through a divorce, and his mom struggled at times, but he grew up in Forest Hill, a rich part of Toronto. He went to a good Jewish school (his mother is white and Jewish, but I am sure his fans already know this), and later to some pretty prestigious schools. Granted, he dropped out of high school because of all his acting and music commitments, but later completed it in October 2012, which I commend him for.
