Alex apparently wrote this song because he fell in love with a girl and he wanted to marry her and when he went back to ask her to marry him "the neighbors said she moved away" and Alex found out later that the girl actually committed suicide. His brother had also committed suicide which is why he says "This place feels familiar to him". This song has so much meaning in it, and I love it. Alex has been through so much and I really admire him.
