This song has special meaning to me, from a long time ago (1979). A man and a woman, separated by their committments to others in their lives, still have feelings for each other. This guy is being as honest and open as he can be about the depth of his love, the ooohhh, sooo warm, gentle, awestruck, smitten feeling he has for this one woman in his life; regardless of his history with others, this is the one woman who not just makes him breathless, but who he knows, and will know forever, that is a soul-mate that he has to leave behind. But, she has to know from this that he will never forget her, and that he will show up again, and their loving will go on just like it did before! The fireworks will explode, the passion will be re-kindled (though it has never gone away!), and hopefully both of them will feel the grip of their love again. You can only experience this once, at most twice, in a lifetime, and only with a so-special person that you are meant to meet, and continue knowing, regardless of whatever separates you. These two are never separated!
