This song is about 2 lovers, so intense that it overcomes them both. For good or bad they are connected on a level that is above the normal plane of existance. The singer has obviously lost sight of that, or had no choice but to break that connection. Hes in pain over the loss but doesn't know exactly what to do to fix it. He feels like his insides are being ripped out from the pain he feels, and the pain that he has caused his love. I have a personal connection to this song. It was somehow wrote for me I think.
