It's obviously the follow-up to Stargazer. Dio is taking the part as a slave of the wizard. He seems lost after all the years building the wizard's star-tower. His life seems like some "crazy dream". Then after contemplating he suddely figures that the star the wizard was craving is intended for him, "Never knew it was for me". I think the "coming home" part of the song is about him returning to the wizard's tower, either to become a "new wizard" (tyrant), or to try to achieve what the wizard may or may not have succeeded. In stargazer the wizard "fell without rising", while in A light in the black he might have survived "cant believe it all // did he really fall"
