He's so in love with her, and she can't return it. As much as it hurts him, he has to accept that he doesn't matter as much to her as she does to him. He has to let her go and it is killing him inside. He wonders how she can be without him when he can't be without her, and wondering if maybe they're meant to be later down the line.
