This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend and I were together for 2 1/2 years. We had a battle and went through a lot. We were an interracial relationship (I'm biracial and he's white) His family is really old fashioned and never agreed or supported us. His father drank heavily and said terrible things about me and threatened to kick him out of the house and we broke up for a week after six months and got back together. We felt more love after that than we ever had before. I fell more in love with him every day. And felt so comfortable around him. He was my best friend and I gave everything to him. He was the most amazing person I've ever known. We started having little fights here and there and then one day he just left. Blocked me from everything. And didn't talk to me. I found out a few weeks later his parents had something to do with us breaking up. He never admitted that to me. But I hope that someday he looks back and figures out how much he has and always will mean to me.
