Ryan Redmond Is that a defenaitly serious point you're making there, because I don't think it can be as defenaitly isn't a definite word - I'm sure there are many serious songs with made up words that don't detract from beauty - this song is beautiful, because it talks about feelings for loved ones over and above the conventions that are the reason why people get together, and that despite an atheist's problems with the origination and misuse of Christmas, he still really likes it. Having comedy in a song doesn't make it not serious.
