I believe that 21 guns by green day is a message of mixed emotions that people have when they're in a relationship with a girl that they love dearly, but then comes along another girl and then he'll have to decide which girl he love the most and stop seein' the other girl which people are afraid of or too stupid to do anything brave and rightous and then all of a sudden he losses both girls and finally knows he messed up and so he trys, or, does get the girl who in fact he has wronged and explains what made him act like that.
