Everyone makes a great point in this. Worship is definitely acceptable to God in every form. If it be metal, etc., then that's awesome-without this different kind of worship, I think some people would honestly never come to know Him who loves them most. However, I do think some metal bands have fallen away from the true presence of the Lord in their songs. I honestly have never listened to much of The Devil Wears Prada music or been to one of their shows, so I wouldn't exactly know. Essentially, if a band is willing to sacrifice a typical rockstar status for the ushering in of God's love and mercy on behalf of the Great Commission (which is really pretty much what God intended music for), then they must make sure that's exactly what they're doing. If the band is doing just that, then I know people can come to know the Lord just through His shear presence, regardless if they understand what is being screamed or sung. It's like hearing a person speak in tongues, if any of you ever have. It's awesome and you can totally feel God through it, though you may not have any clue what is being said. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." No one should get angry at anyone-we should be encouraging our brothers and sisters to keep their path straight before the Lord. "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry." -James 1: 19. That's all that this vessel will say for now. I sincerely wish the best on all of your walks with Christ! God Bless! -Martina.
