Don't know whether you'll see this or not George Foster, but I have wondered the same thing about "you only live twice" in this song. I did not find any interviews of the band members who wrote this explaining the meaning. I take it to mean life on earth, then the after life, but don't know if that's what they intended or not. It could mean life living with stress/worry etc. that they talk about in the song, then life after stopping the stressing/worrying. Lastly, I found a reference to a Japanese poet named Matsuo Basho from the 17th Century who wrote about living twice by saying you think of life at birth, then only think of it again at death. Who knows.
