Okay, this song like many other songs can have multiple interpretations so depending on how you look at it, the meaning can be swayed. But if you look at it in the relationship point of view you will see that "Once more I'll say goodbye to you" and "If its supposed to be like this why do most of us ignore the chance to miss?" represent a relationship that has failed multiple times. Also, most people know (at least subconsciously) that it has a good chance of failing. And when it does we tell ourselves its for the best or how its "supposed to be", "so why do we ignore the chance to miss?" Means why not aviod it from the beginning and save ourselves the heartache.
