She's been kidnapped and she's been there so long that dust has begun to fall, she is in an abandoned warehouse from pre-war or something which explains maybe a train station or sewing warehouse is where she is. She hears the people on busy streets go by, but no one comes to where she is. Like a game of hide and seek. The oily marks part is where painting and such hung on walls, but then when the 'takeover' (war) happened those things were taken. Her capture says this is whats best and it's most likely someone that close to her and she can't believe it happened. He sends ransom letters, but apparently no one is responding or caring about her.
