It is from the Old Testament in the Bible book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 1 thru13.I was taking a class one year where you read the whole Bible in one year. When I got to that certain book, I recognized the lyrics of the song sung by Cat Stevens. It was right there in the Bible.
