A song about how even the beautifulest of thing eventually fade away. It also challenges the value of love and what true love. How in the context of that time people were married at around 12 years old and women were raised to only concentrate on marrying wealthy men. But love goes way beyond this into something intangible; love is almost like a mental disease. It controls what we think what we do. It is out if our control. There is an abundance of symbolism in this song which us my all in all favourite song which will be played at my wedding.

This song tells us the entire story in a few verses, the fleeting speed of youth and life and how love should be part of the wondrous short journey, no matter the situation or consequence. What is the youth? Impetuous fire, ice and desire. Oh, his description is exactly what it was for the time, and to this day if looked at closely still holds true. And if love found with that one sweet smile, has it's time as the rose will fade, our beauty too will and death will come soon to take us away. It tells of us all, in various stages of life, love and how cupid will rule us all. How sweet and bitter it is, Love.
I read this book many years ago and understood the message the writer wished to emit to the readers. And though many moons had passed I too was once a young maid and sought this short lived bliss in the fleeting time given to me and I did find it and embrace it with every atom of my being, that I did. To this day; Love's in love with me.
