Verse two is him knowing the truth of the matter and he is pleading with himself to be prepared to sieze the moment when the opportunity arises in Austin. Verse 3 his him discussing with another musician that all he has to offer is his music but I could help you forfill your dreams too. Lets give it a try a see what happens. Verse 4 the writer knows that are close to success and later he confirms to himself and declares to all there pending success saying its ging to be a good day.The chorus is tears of joy from the people and support back in New Mexico and California and he is giving them a shout out.

Oct 33 can't be 3rd Nov because October has 31 days. October 33 would be the 2nd November. O would say it probably has more to do with something personal. Sounds definitely like a love song of some sort. Haven't seen that explanation on yt but at least the math and calendar don't like.

Eric said it's a break up song and it's a message to his younger self.
The title is oct 33 because he was born in oct 7 ... According to him, its just a little piece of him in the title too. (((You can find this on youtube KEXP LIVE))) e

I think this song is about the US Presidential election on Nov 3 .i.e.Oct 33). This is supported by the line “it’s goin to be a good day” and the references to “fair”. Sending love is a reference to voting and “that’s cold facts” is a dig at Trumps and the fact he won’t paint the outcome as fake news.
