This song shows me there is hope. Even in the worst of circumstances, there is still hope. For me, this hope is Jesus. He is my LIVING HOPE. He never dies and always shines, even if I don't always see HIm or recognize that He's there. Still, He Is. He has risen and victoriously conquered death, so I am given hope that as He came out the other side victorious, I will too. As He conquered all evil, including the evil we face in life, so I have victory over the worst of storms and darkest of valleys. He is always with me; He will never leave me. Therefore, I won't be afraid. It isn't always easy.
For a long time, I struggled with intense fear that crippled me and kept me from doing many things. Even in the midst of this hardship, when things seemed impossible, Jesus was there with me. He set me free from these things. Since then, I have never been held down again by that same level of fear. Although, I have still had to deal with fear trying to come back in and take control of my life. At times, even when we win major battles with different things, we still have to face those things again as they try and come back at us and find a way in again. But, as a Christian - a saint - I hold my ground and declare my freedom, which was paid for on the Cross by Jesus. Yes, I'm not perfect. As I've said, I've had to battle still with fear, and there were times I did give in in the past. However, I keep pressing forward, keeping my eyes beyond the clouds, knowing that the Son has risen and that there is hope. The sun is rising. Just believe it!
