I think it's about a girl who is trying to re-connect with the man she loves. Something happened in their relationship that caused him to not trust her, and as a result he is closing himself off. He is hurting, but won't reveal his emotions to her. She is frustrated by his inactions, and wants to rekindle what they once had. She is waiting by his side "until the concrete angel falls" (a metaphor for the emotional barrier he has put up against her to protect himself). I don't think that the guy necessarily stopped loving her, but just that he has given up on their relationship and is just numb from all of the hurt she has caused him.

It was written by Martina McBride and it’s about child abuse. A boy befriends a girl who is being systemically abused by her mother, she ends up going somewhere where she doesn’t feel anything at all...a metaphor for Heaven, or the way you would describe to a child she’s died. It’s sad but beautiful.

Is it not the same song as the one with Martina McBride. This is about a man who had build up walls to protect himself for getting hurt. I agree with the other post about the metaphor for emotional barrier walls. It was the best trance track in 2012. I love this track and the lyrics is beautiful. I met my husband in 2012, what I didnt know then was that I had met an concrete angel all by myself, this was my favorite in 2012 and I used to sing it to my boyfriend (now husband) . I could not stop listen to this track. This is still one of my top 5 best vocal trance tracks.
Christina Novellis voice Is just awesome. I still get goosebumps when I hear it in february 2023...
