Actually ellie had depression and craig was bipolar and they went to group theropy together, ellie was always there for craig but he was never quite there for her, even though she did everything to help him. He develpoed drug problems and she was there for him. He became famous and was touring and ellie sent him books and always kept in contact, until he hurt her when he came home for a show and told her that he loved her, just to get his drugs back. He had written this song and ran into ellie and sang it to her.
It means that if ever he came rescue her, he'll be there, because he's been there and she helped him.

I've watched degrassi my whole life, and this song is my favorite! The meaning for me is this: I had a bestfriend/boyfriend go into deep depression and he was also bipolar, to this day (even tho we don't talk because of some things that happened) I still dedicate this song to him. And even tho I'm supposed to hate him, ill always have love for him and care about him, and ill always be there if he needs the help. I told you I would always be there, I have not forgotten you.

Craig had a drug problem, but Ellie helped him through and made sure he got into rehab; she saw him to rehab with his step dad, Joey taking care of him there. He wrote this song for her in rehab, and played it for her when they ran into each other in la when she was visiting her friend, Paige. Ellie and Craig spent the day together, and he ended up helping her when she went into the ocean when she couldn't swim because her dad had ptsd. He and Marco rescued her by being there in her most needy time. It is a beautiful song written by Rob Wells and Christopher Ward; performed by Jake Epstein(plays Craig Manning).
