It makes me think about the fears of failing and just all my fears as a whole. This song gives me a certain peace. But still it makes me ad that some issues have made us leave our church, and can't go to camp and hear my favorite band. (luminate) thinking of everyone, including friends of mine, that have issues makes me understand how sometimes god puts blockades in our path to " slow down" and just pay attention to the wonders of his creations, and learn the lessons he has for us. Experiencing my own blockades and my friends' too, to me this song is saying to always trust and put your faith in god, and that he has a plan for all of us and we need to not try to change it, but let him take control. I love the lessons that god has inshore for us, and wish the band a safe and successful trip down the path god has for them.

We continue the theme of a fresh start for the new year. On the websites I have surfed today I've a seen a glut of ways to shrink your gut, become smarter, loose the stress and tension and many other makeovers for the new year. What is missing is the original transformer; god. Without god our efforts will lead to dissapointment. The reason; only god can effect the change from within we all radically need!
Today's quote and song is from "healing in your arms" by luminate. The lyrics state clearly; god I am longing to break the cycle. To lose myself, so I can start again. Until we loose ourself in the father's will and strength we fight the battle for change with one hand tied behind our back. You and I are not able to "recreate" our inner spirit as christ demands. Until jesus is on the throne of life we keep propping ourself up with books, inspirational speakers and self determination alone.
I don't hve to remind you that is a pathaway to failure and frustration. Through trusting christ damaged emotions, self defeating habits and years of frustration can be healed! It willnot occur overnight. It is a daily process of submission and a refocus from self to god. Stop trying to change bad habits and channel your energy on the source of change, christ. As "healing in your arms" beautifully encourages; wake up, break out and leave the fear and doubt behind.
If you release control of your life to the spirit 2012 can be a year of transformation. Imagine the person you can become and stop trying to change in your own power alone. Let go, trust and know there's healing in his arms!
