My friend just recently died in a car crash so this song means a lot to me. My friend was the one that got away. We had such a special friendship and loved each other very much. We dated but we both sort of moved on. We still talked everyday and had the love for each other always. He meant the world to me and vise versa. The song says everything that I feel right now and its freaky how the guy ends up dying in a car crash like my friend. The song was also released exactly month after his death. I feel like it tells our story perfect cuz every word is pretty much right on the dot. Even down to the johnny cash and muse cuz he was an amazing artist and a lot of things he sketched were inspired by me. I miss him so much and I cry everytime I hear this song. I wished I had told him more how much he meant to me and all of our friends said we would have ended up together, even his family. I hope in another life that's true and that I will get to see him again someday.
