Okay, well. For one, Adam Young is a very up-lifting musician, however he does have mishaps in his life like the rest of us. Keep in mind that although he usually writes happy music that his girlfriend who I believe he love very much passed away not too long ago, so try to keep that in mind when looking over the lyrics. Just because his most popular songs are nice and happy and all that, doesn't mean that he's not a person too, it doesn't mean that he can't write about his feelings when he's sad too. When you're a musician you don't just write about how you feel about good things, there's gotta be some bad too. So try to view it from his perspective, because it's a lot of work to be 'happy' all the time. Especially when people expect you to be. What if you were depressed or something and you had people breathing down your neck constantly because they wanted happy songs anyway? Cut him a break. And as for those people who think that love depends on age or whatnot, I don't think it's up to you to judge how one person feels about another. There you go.
