Well.
I'm a straight teenage girl, and tho I have a few g/l/b friends, and I am offended by all of the homophobic comments. I'm going to try to stay out of the pure gay/anti-g* debate as much as possible and focus on this particular song.
First off, the basics: Catchy beat, fun to listen too, seems like a good party song. Definately a hook that catches your attention, too. : 3 For me this song isn't about being lesbian or not, it's more about the whole feeling of the situation described: being buzzed at a party, feeling totally spontanious and outrageous, taking a risk (or whatev) that you wouldn't normally take just because you realized you wanted to at the time, and then later being like "Hmm...did I really just do that?" It's certainly true that people have written songs about much worse things then that.
Also, as a quick side note: I see that there are lots of openly anti-homosexual people who are against this song, but I really think the worst is the people who are leaving comments like "Well, I'm not homophobic...but ew!!! how could they write a song like this!!!" (I believe one girl who commented towards the beginning (forget your name, am too lazy to go back and look.-_-) who said she had a lesbian aunt and then went on to say something along the lines of "What next? "I kissed a dog and I liked it? "") Dunno about everyone else, but. To me. That sounds like homophobia.(And wow, her poor aunt.) Just get over yourself.
Comments on this comment will probably not be replied to, btw, but I will be watching to see if anyone has anything to add. :)
