Katy Perry – I Kissed A Girl lyrics
This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion
It's not what, I'm used to
Just wanna try you on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right

Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter,
You're my experimental game
Just human nature,
It's not what,
Good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets so confused
Hard to obey

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it,

Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

Okay: this song is catchy. Hell, I even danced to it, and thought it was fun. But brave? Hardly. I'm all for trying new things, but don't go saying it's "brave" to write about getting drunk and fooling around. It may be fun, but it's not brave. I'm 18 years old- I've experienced loads of people doing the exact same thing (especially slutty girls at parties who usually make out with each other just to make guys say it's 'hot'. Low self esteem- whatever). But how on earth is that brave in any way? And don't even get me started on the song "Ur So Gay". Besides using bad grammar, it is horribly demeaning to the glbt community. I know that it is a "fun song", but please keep saying "loosen up, itz just music wat duz it matterrr?!?!" (horrid typing done on purpose). I am just sharing my opinion, and that is that I happen to agree with Brandilover 100%. If my generation is the type that actually admires drunken sexual escapades, and calls writing pop music about them "brave", then I fear for the future.

I am stright. Lets start with that. But, seriously this is the song of the year! Just because I'm stright I can't like this song. I hate it when people say that! Espically my grandmother! I come from a catholic family so the idea of "gay" isn't really welcomed. But I wish that would change. All the elders in the church need to realize that times are changing and that back when the Bible was written it was different. I was called g* for saying that this is my favorite song. What a joke! People really need to move on from the past and accept the it's not the same. Then, people go and say it's a bad infulence on kids. Let me tell ya, a song is not going to infulence a kid on his/her sexuality. That's their choice. My 10 year old sister loves this song but, thinks the idea of "gay" is gross (No offense to anyone). So what do you think about that Fox News?

Madmom, you're really being stupid. There is absolutely no talk about s* in the whole song. And, they aren't saying anything about being homosexual. She kissed a girl, so what? Lots of people kiss their own gender just to see what it's like. Which is what this song is about! So you need to shut up. Before you get too many people pissed off for ranking on their fav song! : P

I think this song is about how grrls can b free sumtimes, not all uptight for their boifrends or parents and just go hav fun and kiss a girl. I personally woold not rite a song about it, it would come out stupid. But katy did it well, and sung it well 2. Its grate that people can rite about fun and forbidden fantasiez, insted of s**, money, the world, nature, or watevrr. This song is reely special, and will nevrr b 4gotten. People in my skool still sing it, and it came out like a yeer ago! Lol :)

Ohkay, I don't like this song at all. I don't like Katy Perry at all. && somebody tell me why she was at warped tour? Her music doesn't fit in with any of the bands. I don't think she has a right to sing 'i kissed a girl' because shes deff straight, and it just really makes fun of the people who are bi, and g**. I mean I'm straight, but I have friends that are bi and ggay. I just thinks it really disrespectful.

    Oh, btw, about Big Bang.
It was not at all like an explosion.
When it started, Universe was incredibly small, pressure and temperature were damn high, then, it expanded, it is not an explosion.
And no need to talk about what there was out of this small Universe before, that is totally pointless. Outside of the Universe simply does not exist.
And yes, we're lucky to be on Earth. (even if we're wasting our chance)
There are mill. No, quadrillons of stars in space, trillions of galaxies. With all this existing, counting there are also an huge number of planets. It would have been a real shame that nowhere in Space life sparked, counting the billions chance it'd had to do so.
[ Isaac, if I remember well, Mankind tried to join God by building the Tower of Babel, of course, He got angry, and destroyed the tower. To prevent it from being built again, He made people speak different languages. I'm sure Chris could confirm or correct me about this. ]

    Chrisfisha-Crossriff, one word about homosexuality.
Do you know why we have more chan than heterosexuals to have mental disease? It's just because homosexuality has been thought for a long time to be a disease, and thus, been studied. That's why depression and such were found "quickly" and in number. Yet, if the same kind of studies were made on heterosexuals, I'm sure it would show that about the same percentage of this population is subject to mental disease, as you say.
(Yet, I agree on the fact that lgbt can get easily in depression because of taboos or shame, because yes, nearly all of them have been raised like you, with parents who don't see homosexuality as something normal, making it difficult for their children to assume themselves.)

The song means tht everyone has an urge to kiss the same s*, and that its not wrong to it just happens, and just cos you do kiss the same s* don't mean uem gna turn lez or anything cos its only one kiss and its not going to change your life or anything.
I think she made this song to go with whats going on with our sociaty, because there are lots of people kissing the sme s* these days.

She was drunk and feeling loose-she saw luscious fat cherry red lips and felt a deep internal sensation urging her to kiss a woman of the same s*-she did it-she enjoyed immensely but felt the pressure of society and her boyfreind and will probably not do it again because of her internalized guilt. She woke up the next morning hungover and that's the end of the story. She expressed the feelings the next daywith this song.

Wow. I guess this is what a blog is lolol! Madmom. How old are you? Here's a thought. Spend some time researching the rate of violence in countries where s* is open and children, at a very young age, are exposed to nudity and monogamy, rather than rape and Grand Theft Auto (sorry kids:-)) and then send me a note! Any day of the week, I'd want my children immersed in s* (be it homosexual or otherwise), rather than in the violence we allow on mainstream tv in this country. Hidden agenda, hardly. There isn't a teen (or pre-teen) that I work with that isn't already obsessed with their weight and eating. I think we hardly need to be worrying about girls kissings girls. But hey, that's what makes this country so wonderful -- you can hate this song all you want. And you can tell everyone about it! I just hope you don't live in California. :-) Liz.

Ok, this song has got to be a wake up call. Some girls like girls, just like some guys like guys. Really, who are we to say what s*, race, or anything certain people should like. And if people find out that they like the "other type" well, you know what I think, right on. Your different and admit it in front of a world that would hate you to do so, well, those people deserve rewards. Live and let live, adapt and just hand loose.

It sickens me that there's this much debate about a song. So she kissed a girl. So what? Like I said, if you don't like the song don't listen to it, and don't make those of us who enjoy the song listen to how horrible it is because lesbianism is 'immoral'. If you have a solid reason and not something involving god why this is a horrible song, i'll be glad to listen. If you can prove to me that lesbianism /is/ immoral and why, I'd be glad to listen. Try me. In the meantime, let me listen to my songs.

I'm. Slightly annoyed and slightly confused by not only thing song but these posts. First of all, though I'm not gay/bisexual/lesbian I know people/my parents are and I'm totally cool with it. And to say to bootsie, I personally don't believe Jesus is supposed to hate your/not love you because your bisexual, I believe the Christian branch is called Protestant. Anyway believe what you wanna believe.
My thoughts on this song: At first I liked this song (and still do) but after reading the lyrics I can't entirely understand what she believes, whether she thinks its ok or not. I guess that's part of it though, because in the world right now people (g*, bi, ect.) are constantly being harassed, just check out the South Park Episode: Cartman Sucks, its a tv show but does show reality. People are led to that sometimes. So I guess it shows a message, and I like it.

You bible thumpers are all so stupid when it comes to subjects like this. I'm an athiest, and you know what? If I burn with Satan, then so what! I'm a good person and I'm happy with who I am. This song is a great song. It has a good beat/rythm, and the lyrics are fun. It's a great song to sing and dance to, and I really like it. I think the meaning is pretty straightforward. It's saying that just because it's something you might not care for, it's not wrong. And it's also saying that, just because she liked it, she's not a lesbian - fantastic meaning, fantastic work. And for you homophobes out there, who think this song is horrible, then stop being such a hater! Love is love, no matter what.

I'm bii. Nad I think people that are being ridiculous to us bii or lesbians need to get a f*g life. Grow up this isn't the 18 century anymroe we have changed. So really all you homophobs or religous people that don't agree with what we do need to figure ur s*t out cuase not everyone has to be like you or the same we all have our own meanings and if us girls want to kiss other girls let us its not your guys f*g problems. And this is coming from a 15 year old so that shows you that not everyone has to be the way you are.

This song shouldnt be banned. Bisexual and g* people do not have unnatural behavior. Why would someone choose to be g* or bisexual when it is so unexcepted by the popular morals of most of our culture? It is never the s* of a person that attracts you to them but the way they make you feel. So before you shun peoples orientations by using an uneducated explanation of it's "friggen wrong" actualy know some people that arent of a staright orietation and stop being so single minded.

I'm sorry that people like skittles give Christian a bad name.
God views every sin as an equal. And I'm sorry, but Christians aren't perfect either. In fact, I think many Christians ditch their morals for their own selfish deeds.
Love is love, and I think God would appreciate that. Marriage these days lost its meaning of love, seeing that one half of children's parents get divorces.
It's not to other people's judgment to view what is right and wrong.
If you still don't agree, then it's okay. All you have to do is not to be or act homosexual, and you'll be fine. Respect other people's views, and they'll respect your Christianity ones.
Now, to the song, I like how it depicts her curiosity and the beat is really catchy. Hm. Wonder what people would think if I start singing that. ;)

I love how people judge others, its funny. Bc its not like everyone else is perfect. It personal preference people! Get over it. And its not like being g* is 'wrong' its just how you, as homophobics, view it. So get off ur high horse and stop judging people until you make sure ur own hands are clean bc I'm pretty sure that somewhere in ur past uve done something that God wouldnt approve of, so y don't you stop saying how gays are going to hell and s*t when I'm pretty sure, if we follow exactly what the effin bible does say (even tho it goes against itself every 5 sec) we're all pretty much going to hell =] kthx.

but I mean every1s gonna turn into some huge thing like omg this song is so great n start worshipping it, when its not
sure it gets ur attention if ur curious, or uve done sumtin similar, and it has a decent beat, but I personally don't really like her voice
the songs ok at best, people needa stop overreacting to music, its a song its not a god or anything, you wont die if you stop listening to it for 1 second n listen to sumtin else.

Okay, to whoever it was that said it was just made for entertainment, maybe so, but its still an awesome song, and I absolutly love this song, it makes me think of my friend. And I love her to death, lol, and the song makes me think about fighting against homophobia. And I tend to keep outliving homophobia! This song just proved to me that thiers actually more people that are doing that, and you have no idea how amazing that feeling is! Anyways I'm outtie but the discussion is great keep it up!

No matter what anyone says, you cannot deny it, everyone bi, g*, or straight has sexual fantasies with the opposite s* and those of the same s*. We're all the same when it comes down to it, who are we to judge true love and to stop a harmless emotion from taking its natural course. This song speaks out and really got all you g* haters in an uproar, it just goes to show how selfish and closed minded you are, it's just a song take it for nothing more. How about all those songs about oxy cotton and abusing women?. No one speaks against those.

Wow, um it really depends on your age about what you think about this song. If your older then you realize that it doesn't matter if a girl kisses another girl or if a guy kisses another guy because that's being homophobic. I'm a girl and it's not like I go kiss every girl, but I have once. And honestly its not that big of a deal. Yet I know some of my best friends that are girls have kissed another girl and have gotten confused about their sexuality. And that is not wrong.
Love the lyrics. Love the song. It's fun! Girls love it, guys think its hot. Is that a bad thing?

It's not bad you kissed a girl. I found this song inspiring when I was struggling to find my sexuality. I think it was a mistake that she kissed that girl and wasn't in love. It's like a one night-stand. Not smart but, hey, all in the name of fun, right? It's kind of funny. It reminds me of my first gay/lesbian relationship. Too bad it didn't signafy how horrible it ended up in the end. :(

Heyboygirlhey, there's been a lot of rubbish preached about homosexuals. Everything God says is right or wrong for a reason, not to be a killjoy! God wants you to fulfill every part of your destiny and reason for being here, that includes the blessing of children - homosexuality does not produce progeny! It's also a self-fullfilling life-style, rather than promoting the servant-heart God has and wants us to have too. He did not make anyone g*, but in a godless society (let's face it.) anything goes, so the devil is free to spread his deceptions. There are many testimonies of gays being healed of their situation. God loves homosexuals, but he wants them out of the trap, just like he wants us out of the trap of sickness, poverty, worthlessness and everything else not of him. Great bit about the Ark by the way! But I would say people were more intellegent back then (we've degenerated since, due to the Genesis curse), but thank God it wont last forever! And issac, I'm sorry to say even the inventor of radiometric dating has denounced it as inaccurate, for a whole range of reasons. He or one of his colleagues said "With a bit of adjustment, even a biblical timescale is credible". And check out "Starlight and Time", which proposes an Einsteinian universe which accords with the creation story, where our local universe is 6, 000 years old, yet the distant universe is billions of years old! How freaky is that?! Just keep in with God, he's more loving, compassionate and patient than we can ever be, don't be afraid of change (which is life) and the story aint over until it's over.
Oh the song? An enjoyable bit of fluff for a few days, but now it's got so if I can I turn the office radio down now when I hear it!

O dear I'm british and all these comments have made me realise how religion-based the us is! No one else in any other country would make such a big deal about this its a song so get over it you stupid f*ckin bible bashers and concentrate on more important issues like the flds abuse cases in texas coming to light. Stop wasting your time analysing song lyrics and leave people to do what the hell they want. It is also a very catchy song which is the whole idea and it has nothing to do with religion!

All I have to say is this: Stop using Jesus as an excuse to be a narrow minded bigot. Not saying everyone who believes in him is, but it seems as though a lot of people use him and the Bible as an excuse to hate. Seriously people, live and let live. If you believe someone is doing something wrong, then fine. Don't let it bother you. People are going to say and do what they want, so let it be.

Oh my gosh, your seriously going to be offended by this song? People read way too much into stuff, if you honestly are going to get offended by a song, then your pathetic, stop looking at things from such a judgemental standpoint, if everyone in this world would stop freaking out at every little statement we wouldn't have so many problems in this world today, in fact gay/lesbian people should be happy that a song like this is on, have you ever heard a song about same sexes kissing, I know I haven't. Its brought lesbian affection into spotlight. Most people don't dare do that. She is not saying "I kissed a girl and that is immoral" she says she likes it in the song, get over yourself, people are so freaking touchy about everything, lighten up, not everyone is out there to attack you.

Wow wow. This is so pathetic. I'm bi. And yes iv kissed girl and f*k yea I liked it lol. But this is what I think. I believe in god. But that's it. I don't believe in heaven or jesus. I don't think there is anything wrong with liking the same s*. I mean if a girl makes me smile and laugh and can dry my tears when I'm crying and I feel happy and safe about myself when I'm with her can't I be in a relationship with her? I think so.
I really do think we need to stop complaining bout religion here tho. This is a really fun song. And if it really does have a meaning and is true there is nothing wrong with it.

Everyone's getting so worked over this song. It's really awesome what the hell does it matter what she did. She kissed a girl and she liked it. Great for her, if you don't like it then why the hell are you listening to a song called "i kissed a girl"? Especially if you're gonna b*h about the bible and religion and what's wrong and right. I am personally an atheist, I used 2 be catholic but I find it tottaly unfair that god does not understand gays, he loves everyone, right? Then he should accept the fact that they like the same s*, no big deal. I have many bi and g* friends and I love them to death. And personally I love g* guys, they're the sweetest things on earth. But I digress everyone has experimented (even me!) so why don't you butt out of people's business will ya'?

Unless your interested in the g* lifestyle hehe I have nothing against religious people etc (even tho they do have a thing against me) but seriously don't I go around trying to turn you into a flaming homo so why try and say our beliefs are wrong etc, seriously off topic here people the song has a great beat and fun lyrics, its not nasty, not like its saying "i went down on a girl and i like it" geeesh if you hate the lyrics so much just down load the intrumental version lol. Mmm, cherry chapstick. I think this song is s*. I know I've thought about kissin' girls before. Still haven't though. Probably would if I knew anyone that was interested. I dunno what my boyfriend would think if he found out. He'd probably be afraid that I'd leave him or something. But seriously, women are so s*. Even though I'm a chick, I'm still way more likely to check out a hot woman walkin' by than a guy. Which is cool, because usually my boyfriend is lookin' at the same person, so then we can talk about them. Lol. What's really weird is when he's checkin' out a guy, and I'm checkin' out a girl. He'll say, "Uh huh, I know you were checkin' out that hot guy." And I'd say, "What guy? I'm lookin' at that babe over there." I suppose we're a strange couple. We've been together for two and a half years, and I'm glad we can have such open conversation. :-)

This song is really good! Its got great beat and I think its kinda funny. You don't have to e g* to like this song! Its fun to listen to and katy perry is awsome! At least she has the guts to sing about something real instead of just replicating the songs that are so overdone in todays media. If I have to hear one more song about hanging out in a club or cheating or anything about lolipops I think I'm gonna die! Go Katy for being original!

Brave should be reserved for the real gays, lesbians, and trans people who live this lifestyle everyday. Not just the fence riders and s*s that claim they were "drunk" and just experimenting, please. I'm disgusted with the entertainment industry for trying to make a dime whenever it's convenient for them by exploiting a "taboo" lifestyle for a few quick bucks. Get real! This song is catchy and cute but nothing more. If it speaks to the teenagers and young adults of this generation I'm concerned at best. How vapid can these kids be?

Besides that miss 'inyourface' was being horribly rude, to say that beigh g* is "just wrong" well that philosophy parallels with the pre civil war concept of slavery, and the pre civil rights movement of 1964- in that just because they are different they are not equal to us -and are therefore below us, less than human.

I'm not a homosexual, but I think it's a great catchy song. To me, I feel the song expresses what we all feel. We are all experimental where some or most girls want to experiment kissing other girls, or guys wanting to experiment kissing other guys, or even girls wanting to experiment being with more than 1 guy at a time and vice versa. I don't see anything wrong with it. Like mentioned in the song "Just human nature It's not what, good girls do Not how they should behave My head gets so confused Hard to obey". For guys and girls, it's hard to obey b/c ur feelings and emotions or curiosity indulges us. It's just human nature for anyone to want to experiment whether it be things of what I mentioned earlier or even drinking or experimenting with drugs. Katy Perry is a real person and just singing about her experience and I feel there's nothing wrong with that. Much love and success to Katy Perry.

    Hey jonasaddict123,
Why don't you just grow up already?! I'm tired of you haters! Why don't you come over to my house and tell that to my face? I doubt you'll get past the gates though. If the jonas (shudders) brothers saw what you wrote they would hate you. I'm sure they don't like haters. Learn to love and forget how to hate. This is why we are at war. Because of haters like you. Every war is based on hate. I don't hate. I dislike with such a passion that death is too good for them.

I didn't mean anything by it. I'm a full out lesbian and thank you for showing others what it is like to be g**. I love my gf and just want to be with her forever. But, I guess the tone that she set was that she just kissed the girl for the hell of it. I wouldn't think that was right. I still don't. I hope that people learn. I learned. People shouldn't be arrogant and hate g** people. It's hard enough my parents don't accept me and my brothers and sister don't talk to me anymore. I love them all so much but they ignore me and tell me to "get straight or get bent". I just don't think it's right. My other relationship ended horribly. My gf cheated on me but, who cares really? Thank you for letting me voice my opinion. :) And thank you again for clarifying how it feels to be in a gay/lesbian relationship. ;)

Oh I see, It's hypothetical. Sorry. Still, that's a pretty lame analogy.
The fact that 8-18 year old girls are singing about getting drunk in a club and kissing a girl is what is pathetic. They're also singing If you Seek Amy and Paper Planes and that "Helen Keller" song. It's bad when they're singing things when they don't know what they mean. It's worse when they sing the songs knowing what they mean.
Parents, do you job and stop letting your children repeat these words. Freedom of speech allows artists to sing these songs, but that does not keep you from letting it get into your home!

Just because the song isn't good, you don't have to freak out like that!. I mean, just because she has made a song where she sings about kissing a girl, it doesn't mean she's a lesbian!
And what's the matter with you sick people anyway.? Lesbians are humans! I have g* friends and there's nothing wrong with them. Just because you are atracted to your own s* it doesn't mean that you are wierd. That's just how life goes. They don't chose it, it happens in their brains.

Sigh. This song really bothers me in so many ways. I don't have anything against homosexuality.
It's just that, she's promoting experimentation. Some girls really are bisexual or lesbian, and some really do kiss a girl because they have deep feelings for them. What if the other girl is just experimenting, doesn't have feelings? The true girl is going to end up getting hurt.
And it's just disgusting. It really is. Her trying to sound all dirty and everything. Ooh, she's a bad girl. She's all worried about her boyfriend? Hah. If she really cared, would she have done that?

Come on you guys! It 2008 already. So if someone makes a song about two girls kissing it shouldnt be this big of a deal. Stop being so old fashion. Its just a nice upbeat song with an original idea. And all girls have thought about kissing another female before. Like katy says, its just human nature.! It doesn't mean your g*. And so what if shes g*! Nothing wrong with g* people. As long as your happy, it doesn't matter! So s*w all of you dum asses who take the song too serious!

I love this song! It's cute, and it shows that people can expeiment with each other without it getting crazy. I don't see why people keep bringing up the bible. Yes, I believe in God, but I don't let the bible run my life, and it controdices itself so much I refuse to, but that doesn't mean people can't have faith, you know? I kissed a girl once, it was fun, but I'm not bi or a lesbian. I did it once, it was a kiss, nothing less, nothing more, and I havn't wanted to do it again. This song may seem bad to some, but she's not trying to insult anybody. If you don't like it, just don't listen to it.

I don't understand why people are bringing the bible into this. It's a natural part of life- I mean s*t, I'm quite spiritual myself and I kissed a girl once. Does that make me g*? No. Does that make me a sinner? No. Am I going to hell? Probably, but for difference reasons. Haha Seriously though, it's ludacris to think of this as a controversial song. It's all out of good fun. So wow, madmmom needs to tone it down alot. First of all, I think this song is a great way for girls who are curious about hte same gender to feel more comfortable. And what is all this talk about s*? Kissing is not s*. Wait, your one of those mothers that wont even let her kid hold hands with somebody arent you? That's a shame, I feel empathy for your children. Kids are gonna go out and have s* whether you want to acknowladge it or not. And I agree with what the one guy said, id rather my kids be having protected and safe s*, raher than be out on the streets commiting crimes and going to jail. Lol I'd sure as hell rater them be kissing omeone, even if of the same s*, then be out on the streets.

It seems to me that this song is just a reflection of the attitude and actions of young people in society today, much like "f*ck the police" 20 years ago. Girls are kissing girls "just to see". It's extremely commonplace. Songs are popular when you put to music what young people are already thinking and doing.
I'm 35 and the only friends that I have that haven't kissed girls--- got married before the "girl kissing" phase (and even one married friend kissed another girl, because the "husbands" requested it!)

It seems to me like theres a lot of younger kids trying to sound very mature and very knowledgeable about the bible. Maybe a little too hard. And I'm sick and tired of people with clearly catholic beliefs calling themselves christians. Theres A big difference. Its easy to tell as the people with the more catholic beliefs are harshly judgmental due to their view of God as the bad guy waiting for you to s*w up so he can punish you. A Christian viewpoint does not teach anything about God hating homosexuals or God not being able to forgive homosexuals. So catholics please stop calling yourself Christians because ur not. Just wanted to clear that up.

I love how everyone automatically assumes that this song really /means/ something. It could, and this could have been a real situation or based off of one, or it could be, let me think, just A song? I'm a bisexual girl and I lean more towards my own s*, so this song is very refreshing to me, because it's about trying new things and not being disgusted for kissing someone you're 'not supposed to because jesus won't love you'. When I was little, I got that jesus didn't love me because I didn't always wear a skirt- so fickle, ye uber-christians are. I have nothing against your religion, hell, if so many of you /weren't/ like biblebeliever I might even /be/ christian. I love this song because it's different, catchy, and it has good lyrics, and if you don't think so, good for you- having opinions. It doesn't mean you have to drag god into everything where someone else's opinion varies from yours. If you don't like the song, dare I say: don't listen to it?

I think she was just trying something she never tried before. Trying new things is good, the reason why I say that is because then you will know if you like that something or if you don't like it. And if you find a girl kissing another girl grose or weird you are just childish, god will love you no matter what you in life, that is why we have easter, so god can forgive all the bad thinks you did in that year!

Why don't we stop talking about god? If I say, "Oh! the gods hates gays!" Someone will always say, "No they don't!" Then we will get in a big argument and the atheists will come in and then people will get mad. We will drop the sub. For a couple of posts then some Christian freak will start reciting the bible and saying were going to hell, and it will start all over again. So lets just drop it.

Haha yea this song is pretty beast I suppose. Society acts like curiousity and sexuality other than tradition is absurd. But then again society thinks anything is absurd yet they support crackhead presidents and evil men that work this country. But either way; it was nice to hear a song about something real and different for a change; I am tired of hearing stupid s*t about clubs, money, cheating, strippers, and just plain wigger nonsense. But yea; kudos to Katy; it's about time someone sang about something interesting. And yea; I've kissed a girl. And I liked it(: Hahah.

I heard this on the radio and started listening to the lyrics. It made me so happy that they played this song on the radio. As an ambitious straight ally, I think that it's important to get the word out. ; D
    It'd be nice if they played some T. A. T. You., but that was a new music station, so I guess those thee year old songs might get looked over. ^^;
Since this is supposed to be a meaning, you get my take on it. The singer is telling about how she kissed a girl and liked it, so she doesn't give a * about what anyone else thinks about it.

And if you "hate" homosexuals sooo much, don't listen to this song, and don't read the lyrics. If you dislike it, you don't have to listen, and don't come here and judge people who are g*, and like this song. I am bi, I like guys, and girls, and if I want to listen to this song, I shouldnt have to see you bad mouthing it, and my way of life. Ok. I never write on these boards but I read what "inyourface" wrote and I have to agree with every one else. Just because your opinion is not in favor for gays, that gives you no right to look down on them. There are plenty of things in this world I don't like and that I do not agree with but that does not mean that I can go around and say that it is all wrong and horrible just because I think differently. Also if you where so intelligent you would see that your opinion is just that. Your opinion. It is ok to say you do not agree with something but when you make others feel bad that is when you crossed the boundries. I am not g* but I don't mind it. I feel that people should be able to do what makes them happy as long as it does not harm anyone else. Also, since you are preaching so much on the bible then you are still a virgin, do not swear, you go to church atleast once a week, you practice all the religious hollidays, you do not judge people, etc. Because if you are going to be religious and so pure on the topic of gays then you need to attack everything else that is supposibly impure and wrong (as the bible states). This goes for everyone. Do not judge people or an issue before you know about it. People who are truely g* do not just wake up one morning and say. "hey i think i want to fuck somebody of my same sex." True gays are born with it. Statistics show that homosexuals have a chemical imablance from the time that they are born that make them want the same s*. Well that is all I am going to say about that. People just respect each others opinions and actually research something before you b*h about it.

Hey inyourface, your'e retarded. You can write that f*g long entry and use big words but it still doesn't mean that what you are saying is right. And honestly tell me how the f*k it makes any sense to say "oh i dont hate gays but they are wrong and unnatural" of course you are going to be close-minded though because you are homophobic. Deny it all you want but its really obvious to tell by what you wrote.
It isn't unchristian to be g*. Ya it may be in the bible but wanna know what else is in the bible? Don't eat shell fish and other bull s*t like that. Get this through your narrow-minded head: god did not write the bible. Normal people like you and me did. They wrote what they believe is correct. The bible is full of stories and opinions but not necessarily truth.
She is also not a bad role model because she brings up a topic that every person will deal with when they grow up. Whether its just some thought that goes away or you have a friend who questions their sexuality, no onw should be raised thinking "hate gays, hate gays" its not wrong to talk about being g*, its wrong to brainwash kids into thinking that being g* is wrong.
You are too judgemental and close-minded. I really hope you take what I have said to heart and realize that what you said was wrong and hurtful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this song, g* people, or the fact that Katy Perry calls herself a christian. I'm a christian and a lesbian. So read this and learn.

Saturday night, Katy Perryreceived the National Equality Award at the Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner in Los Angeles. The singer, who in 2008 broke onto the scene with her chart-topping hit “I Kissed a Girl,” opened up about what a pivotal moment that song was for her while accepting her award.

“I’m just a singer-songwriter, honestly. I speak my truths, and I paint my fantasies into these little bite-size pop songs,” she began. “For instance, I kissed a girl and I liked it. Truth be told, I did more than that.”

When “I Kissed a Girl,” a song about sexual curiosity, emerged, many critics slammed the lyrics for their portrayal of the lives of queer women. At the time, a critic for Feministing.com wrote that “Perry’s lyrics reflect the trivialization of queer female sexuality and the cultural norms which state that female sexuality exists for the pleasure of men.”

In her remarks on Saturday night, Perry seemed to address that long-ago controversy as she told more of her personal story. The singer, who grew up in a strictly religious home and attended “youth groups that were pro-conversion camps,” said she didn’t have all the answers back then, but she questioned what she was being told.

“What I did know is that I was curious, and even then, I knew sexuality wasn’t as black and white as this dress,” Perry said. “And honestly, I haven’t gotten all of it right, but in 2008, when that song came out, I knew that I had started a conversation that a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing along to.”

Perry said she spent most of her adolescence “[praying] the gay away” until, once she entered the music industry, she met people outside of her Christian “bubble,” and [her] “bubble began to burst” with the lessons they taught her:

“They were the most free, strong, kind, and inclusive people I have ever met . . . These people are actually magic, and they are magic because they are living their truth.” She went on, expressing empathy for those in the room: “Suffice to say, it’s been a long road for me, and I know a long road for many of you out there. I know it doesn’t always feel safe to live out who you are. But here’s the thing, though: I would have not chosen a different road.”

AND YOU SLUTTY GIRS AR ANNOYIN AS FUCK!

Honestly who seriously considers a girl kissing another girl as cheating.?
They should invite the b/f to be polite. ;) but cheating.?
They day a girl can do what a man does in bed without just "helping" out with toys.
I'll consider s** cheating, but kissing?
Seriously. Any guy who considers a girl kissing another girl as cheating must feel very inadequate with themselves.
If you're being intimedated by a girl. It's only a matter of time till you g/f moves onto a man.

I realize a lot of you think it's weird and wrong and it's saying "ooh look drunk kissing girls thats lesbian blah blah blah" but personally, my interpretation is that, really people who gives a crap? We shouldn't. It doesn't matter if you kiss someone of the opposite s**. I really think it doesn't. And before you go thinking that it's wrong to love a girl if your a girl (which the song isn't implying) think about the simple fact that love is love. Love is love, people. No matter who you find it in. And the sooner you all accept that the better.

This is a great song. What does it mean? Does it really matter? It seems to me that kissing is just plain great whether with a man or woman. We all have the same parts in that area. I have yet to thoroughly kiss a woman on the mouth, but I think it would be fun. I know my husband would enjoy watching me do it. Boys just love girl on girl action. As long as all parties involved are into it, I say go for it and enjoy!

Meh, Came back never expected that some peopel found that inspiring, I agree with shopdeva about the lyrics, the girl was just experimenting, no serious relationship was going on and I'm actually finding it amusing that some people are having a flamewar about gays just because of the silly lyrics, just goes to show the power of words,.
@deathmyfriend: read you older comments and I found nothing offensive actually. You should just live your life and enjoy everything it has to offer we only have one lifetime and I've learned from experience that people should live life with regrets just be proud of who you are and someday someone will accept who you are.

This board is for writing your thoughts about the meaning of this song. Not to judge Katy Perry on her sexuality, so grow up people. You sound like a bunch of elementary school kids here. Bottom line is this. Katy is singing about experimenting and learning about her sexuality. She is saying she recognizes the beauty of other woman and gave in to temptation and happened to like it. Whether these feelings relate to her true life experiences or not. She is obviously not g** if she is saying she has a boyfriend. However, if she is in fact "gay". There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'm a woman, and I'm a musician, I also have a boyfriend, but I have kissed girls both playfully and willfully. And most girls are better kissers than guys. Hahahaha. Jus' Sayin\'.

Clearly, everyone is intittled to their opinion; The moral fabric of any discussion is more often than not bound by it's Intent and discretions. That being said, since I'm given a voice, it's my choice to exfole and picsulate what little is left of the surely exhausted illusion of allure to this little, candy-coated, juke-box jokey and her feable candid velour.
A girl kissing another doesn't make her bi - it just makes her more popular.
A guy kissing another guy doesn't make him bi - it makes him g**.

I mean, you can't write a song without truth in it!" So, it's true, katy has kissed a girl, but she's adting a boy named Travis Mccoy. So yeah, she's either bisexual or a former lesbian.

But Katy Perry said herself that the song is actually just about the beauty of a woman, and the power that a woman posesses because of that beauty. The whole girls kissing is kind of just a metaphor. That's not to say that this hasn't happened to Katy Perry, it probably has, but the song isn't about that.

I am amazed people are still this close-minded and up in arms over lyrics that can barely even be construed as controversial. The lyrics even bend over backwards to ensure its as lightweight as possible - ensuring listeners know she has a 'boyfriend', she thinks 'its wrong', but just did it 'to try it'. To the parents out there who are scared this will cause their young daughters to start making out with their friends - I have news for you - all this song does is speak about something that already is probably 80% likely to happen anyways. I'm over 30 and of all the 'hetero' women I know (whether they be married, with boyfriends or single) - they have all at least kissed a girl once in their lives. Come on - this is no big deal! Be more concerned your children will try drugs, commit crimes or put themselves in dangerous situation more than "a kiss". Religious or not - time to set your priorities straight. And while this song completely is not even talking about being g*. This is 2008 people. Get a grip! For those who are offended, why not just continue living in your pristine bubbles and stay there and leave the rest of the world to people who want to love not judge.

    Biblebeliever -
Get over yourself. I'm not a religious person but what you said about jesus and god not forgiving is bulls*it. Cristianity is so hypocritical. You pick and choose what you accept and what you don't. Everyone is entitled to freewill. What people do with their lovers has nothing to do with you. I don't judge you critically for what you do with your lover - don't judge me with critisism for what I do with mine!

I love this song Miisha! I beleive in God, Jesus, Heaven, and The Holy Ghost. It doesn't make me a bad person if I like a song. Songs like this are just for fun, they don't mean anything. Everyone who thinks this song is wrong because we shouldn't be kissing the same s* or because of God and the Bible, should really just be quiet! Somehow God wanted this song to be played because it's being played! If God didn't want this he would probaly make it stop.

Miisha you didn't get what I was saying. People are trying to shove views down other people's throats.(Christians and the Homosexual People) and it's stupid as hell over A damn song. People have opinions get over it! I said religion, politics, and sexuality are not good things to bring up in a group of people. They always end in arguements b/c evevryone has their own beliefs. Maybe once you get a little older or mature more you will realize that. I'm never did and won't ever try to tell anyone what they can and can't say. I'll say it again. I like this song and I think it's catchy. Like I said in my last post. It's a free country.

I agree with miisha and Nadenedramaqueen. The lyrics are wrong and against what the Bible says. Can't you end this arguement, please? If this keeps going the way it's going, ya'll will be in your senior years. I know most of you are like, "oh, it doesn't mean anything, she's just having fun and being "curious". Well, that's wrong! God still loves you, if ur bi, lez, and whatever, he loves everyone! Now that doesn't mean he loves the way you behave. But being a bi or lez is against the laws of the 10 commandments. And if ya'll don't believe me, well I pray someday you will. The lyrics are wrong and a sin, just leave it at that and stop arguing, please?

Dido breezybaby99, I like guys and I like girls, I wouldent consider it g* nore strate nore bi, love is love so why should it have its spacific meanings and rules. This song is not about being g* but is about one person and there desire to kiss a girl, liking it and then moving on. Blake1 made it very clear that its a pretty bestley song even tho I'm strate. . So you assume people will think your g* coz you listen to this song? Miisha! You can't say one thing and exspect people to follow it. Yeh we all have our opinions but you say "Please understand that and you cant say you love gays" its people like you that increases the rate of suaside rather then help understand people are people and should they not have a right to love. Why can we not love gays? Coz its a sin? You may no a lil something about the bible but what do you no about life and society if you live your life a book? Rather then being a realest with an open mind about peoples desishions.

My best friend is a lesbian, so I have no problem with this song. Its a great and catchy song! I'm close to her girlfriend b/c of her. I love them both and wouldnt change them for the world.
I hate that they have to go through so much to make their relationship work. All the people in the world who live to put people down b/c of their sexuality, make me mad. People are people no matter what, so if anyone has a problem with the song or people who can relate to it, maybe they should look in a mirror b/f they decide what kind of a person, someone who is happy with their sexuality is.
Katy perry was working towards getting a point acoss with this song and I feel she did! [=

please don't quote the bible unless you have at least read more than the 10 commandments. In the epsitles, it is made clear that homosexual acts are forms of sexual immorality, and this is a sin. God isnt' too fond of sin ya kno. Also, just because he forgives us and loves us, does not necessarily mean we have an excuse to sin. Also, using the words "retard" and "screw you" don't exactly help your point of being a so called "strong Christian".

Ok, if God (which should be the Lord to all you Christians who should know that you shouldn't be saying His name all willy nilly) created everything in this world, then why did he create homosexuals? I love g* people. Rainbows are pretty! Gays are the ultimate creation of love because it has to be true if you would risk being tormented by the religious fanatics saying that we are a creation of Hell. You know what? Gays protect the enviroment because we are lowering the population. Gays save the world, we are people! You know what else? People should respect others beliefs. I'm Wiccan but I don't tell my Christian girlfriend that I love her but I hate her beliefs because that would mean I hate her! God doesn't want people to hate or beat each other up according to your beliefs. Do you ever hear in the news that "A gang of gays beat up a poor innocent Christian straight guy". Seriously, you are so hypocritical. You know what, my Christian girlfriend loves God more than me and I hope she is will be happy in Heaven after she dies, married to me! I'm a Wiccan lesbian.

Hey I'm not g* or anything I'm just a normal teenage girl and I really love this song its catchy and mad as.
I think its inspiring and pretty mad that Katy is not afraid to sing about something different but something that is happening you know? Like not everyone who kisses a chick is g* it just says in the song ' I kissed a girl just to try it' that's okay why not try it? If you like it fair enough if you don't that's okay too. Anyone who is preaching anf saying they don't hate homosexuals just their thoughts isn't that the same thing? Isn't the way people see things for themselves and their inner most thoughts define who they are and if this is true that's just like saying you hate them? Anyway just a thought mad as song! Love it! And I hope everyone (g*, or not or christian lol =P)does too.

You people are so sad! It's a freaking song! Kissing a girl is not a big deal, welcome to the 21st century! I don't understand why people have the need to analyze everything - get over it! And to the so called "Christians". Your God would dissapointed to see how you practise your religion. What a shame! He teaches you to love and understand, not to hate and discriminate. Ok first of all it isn't about a g* girl. She is bisexual, and second I am bisexual and I like girls when I am a girl and that does not mean I am going to hell. Everyone has the right to love and get married. Love is love no matter what shape and form it is in. Get over it. It is 2008, g* rights are apart of every day life. Gays apparently should have rights to do what they like with their personal life. Let them join in the wedlock if they choose (though I am not a strong believer in such a thing like marriage for either s* just as a social phenomenon). Agree with the opinion the lyrics is not too good. Caring about what the boyfriend thinks? Absurd! The lines "I kissed a girl and I liked it/I liked it" apparently rock!

And not just cast judgment (wich if I remember correctly is reserved for the big man upstairs him self) but to cast blame on those of us are different from you for the way the world has turned out and imply that all gays care about is s* and drugs. This song is amazing, and personally id like to point out I'm Bi, and I think this is crazy, I have a boyfriend, and he's the best thing that's ever happend to me, but I've been sitting here reading some of which you guys have been saying and monkeyman18 I agree 110% with you, no one has the right to say that people can't be bi, or lez, or even g*. This is really touchy topic and the song made a conversation, its getting noticed, radio talks are being done about it, people are showing thier true colors, I haven't told my parents about me yet, only because I don't think they will accept me for who I am. I have loved a girl, and kissed more then one. And it does make me bi, nothing is wrong with that in my mind, after people found out about it I lost a few friends but I don't care, I mean if they can't accept you for who you are then be done with them not true friends anyways, it hurts the people on here saying that people can't be lez or g* or bi you know to whoever said that f*k ya. Cuz you don't know what its like at all so shut up, if your going to bash on people like that then I sure as hell will bash back at ya. Cuz you know what it don't matter if your straight or bi or g* or lex it don't matter were all still people and you know what the nicest people in the world are normally the ones who are g*, my god I love people that are g* cuz they understand you can tell em anything and I wasnt going to come on here and comment to this but when I saw who ever saying s*t about the bible oh my god you know what "GOD" may even of been bi or g* and guess what no one gives a s*t. Cuz truth of the matter is it maybe a sin to be homosexual but its a sin to swear you can't do nothing if ya follow the whole bible. Also heres how it is in my mind, you should watch what you say cuz you never kno one your bffl's could be g* or bi and then your in s*t buddy, monkeyman18 you are so right, its unbelievable how people talk to each other. Anyways I'm not stickin around here all day, but I can tell you all one thing, this song is amazing, and people are people how dare you people discriminate against those who are g* or lez they are people and have rights. Just like you. Think about that. They can't control how they feel. And to all lez, bi, gays and straights. You have the right to be who you want. Don't let low lifes bring ya down.

Wow okay. I'm catholic and just to clear things up here the bible and catholic or christians don't hate on homo or bi sexuals, we are called to treat them with compassion, respect, and sensitivity, but its the actions that make it a sin and this song does portray homosexual actions.
Also, skittles doesn't give christians a bad name. That's really how it is. God loves everyone, were all made in His image. He does hate the sin though. Its not our fault, or his, that we sin, its origional sin. He sees through the sin though, to you, and it doesn't matter how much you sin, he will still love you more than you can ever imagine.
And wolfgang, if there is no Jesus Christ, no Holy Spirit, no God, then tell me where our existance came from. Tell me where every little vain on every little leaf, every detail on every butterfly, every single blade of grass, every bird, every snail, every ocean came from. Only one guy could do all that, and that's God.
I like the song, I think its funny. I just wanted to put all that out there.

Are you seriously arguing over this everyone has their own opinion if they want to be a homophobic bigot then that's their problem yeah it sucks that people exist like that but don't let it affect your life when all they do is spend their life hating people for no reason and by the way if god hated homosexuals so much then why do they exist? The work of the devil right? Go back into your religious hole and never come out unless you're ready to act like a real christian and accpet people for who they are. Hate isn't the way of god its the way of the devil if you believe in that sort of thing.

I know some of these comments are very old, but at the same time both sides are being very hypocritical. I am gay, but I believe in God. Not enough to tell you every last detail of the Bible, or tell any story, but certainly enough to attempt to be neutral. My problem isn't with God really. It's with people who claim to know God, and hypocritically choose one sin to attack. If a song mentions a lie is it brutally attacked? Not as far as I know, even though we can clearly see why lying's wrong. At the same time, it's rude to call people who call being gay a "sin" idiots. Most of them say it gently and with concern. Sure the Bible does have a few contradictions (I'm sorry folks, but it does). It is extremely easy to take things out of context, and we must realize God himself didn't write the Bible. Those that knew him, did. The Bible wasn't physically thrown down from the Heavens (even though that is an interesting thought), so that should be kept in mind.

I have prayed several times. I asked to be straight after I didn't like girls that way. After having a boyfriend, I prayed again saying "If what we're doing is wrong, help us see why and forgive us." Sure gay couples can't have kids. That's human's logic, but think of it this way. Can every single woman reproduce children? Are all men fertile? No they aren't. Are several children being abused by their biological (and in my opinion nominal) parents? Are there some parents that can't take care of their biological children? Sadly both of these questions have yes as an answer. Now be honest, please. Picture for a moment a child in your life whether it be your next door neighbor, a child you babysit, or whatever is in such a relationship with his or her parents. Is that really better than having two dads or two moms? Nice people that would be happy to adopt them since they can't have one of their own? Furthermore, I believe the Bible only mentions sexual relations. A romantic relation such as this song and mere kissing isn't mentioned at all. God gave us rules, yes, but he also gave us something else called "common sense". Do you see all Atheists murdering people, or committing any other sin of that nature? No, because they realize they will be punished, and even they understand why it's wrong. Murder is wrong, because it takes another life. It will stop that person from doing any good he or she would have done, having or raising their family, and worst of all it completely devastates their loved ones. Sure, gays can't have kids so that one's out, but they can adopt and raise kids to have good values same as any straight couple, and sure it may upset their families, but if families love each other they will be accepting. So please, both sides of this argument just try to get along. If necessary, do NOT bring the subject up at all if it only causes offense between you. Talk about anything else. The weather, your family, or whatever else is relevant. I have many Christian friends. Some are accepting, some are open-minded but believe it's a sin. I choose what to say to them, so I don't upset them or vice versa. I may get angry at people that wrote some of those comments, and use their faith as an excuse, but that's human nature. Please forgive each other for everything said and done. Not only will God forgive you, but I believe getting a friend or at least a respectful relationship between people is far better than being angry any day.

You should know what the bible says about relations between person of the same s**. Telling you are going to church, you konw god, he mades you, and loves you is not sufficient. In human 's story, there' is two power. One is from god and the other is from the devil. The bible is the book of the mighty god. Read it so you will know what he wants for you and all the humanity. Don't ever think you are not concerned or that there is no more time for the gospel. Only god can restores the loss humanity searching for all kind of pleasure.

True story, but not all people do it when they are drunk. She is basically saying that she got a bit drunk so she ended up kissing a girl. She wasn't used to it but she liked it, even tho she didn't know the other girls name. Then she says that it is not what good girls do and everything where she is basically the sort of thing that her dad would say but that doesn't mean it isn't right.

It means that she kissed a girl and did not think it was weird just natural. I love it cause it has a great beat and it shows that it is okay for girls to like girls or for guys to like guys. It is mean for people to make fun of that or say that is wrong or disgusting for the same gender romance. It is fine! Love this song.

I am a mature older woman who really likes the beat of this song. I can distinguish, however, that she is singing about drinking and doing something she was curious about and finding it was pleasurable. She is obviously not homosexual or she wouldn't have a boyfriend. She is depicting someone who is bi-curious. My issue with the song, were I to state one would be that the artist is very popular with the young girls-6-13 and at a recent birthday party dance for primary first and second graders I witnessed several young girls acting out the song and singing every word. They thought it was very cool to be pretending to kiss each other. This is worrisome for me as a first grade teacher. I am not homophobic, I do not accept the lifestyle, but I do not judge anyone else because I feel that too is wrong. But a role model for young girls singing this song is pretty dangerous. Especially with other artist portraying loose, suggestive behavior also like miley cyrus, brittany spears, and others who are very popular with the tweens. Just a concern of mine.

Homosexuality is wrong and goes against god and his wonderful.
Plan for his earth and the creatures he created to live on this earth. In his holy word the bible he declares it wrong and very sinful. Experimenting with anyone of the same gender is completely and utterly wrong. Experimenting with anyone even people not of the same gender outside of marriage is wrong and terrible. I'm just trying to spread gods wonderful word. Please repent and follow the master of everything that is in this universe.

It is a very catchy song and I can sing it well. I don't like what she sings about, but then again, I fully understand how she feels. As a believer, I cannot act upon it less I become a defiled christian. For those who does not believe in jesus, I refuse to judge that person based on a faith that I hold dear and they don't. It's irrational. :) so yay to katy because it's a good song and often, quite true, even if one isn't a homo- or bi-sexual.

The video displays "In your face" acceptance of today's sexually provocative, insecure and lost society. Put a'naughty' girl on screen, show some b***s, say or do something controvery you got yourself a new show or song. The new generation been desensitized just as g** shows are also making their way into our living rooms. Being 'naughty' or even g** is now fashionable. Since society thrives on 'in your face' and openly displaying things that are or have been taboo, we'll soon see animals and women much like in Amsterdam. It's just a matter of time. It's money over morals. It's only a matter of time, society will get tired of girls kissing girls or girls having s** with girls.

That is corect Dylanology. Her parents were both preachers and they banned her from listening to secular music. Wikipedia says that in an interview she said she was at a slumber party and heard Freddie Mercury's voice (Queen) and she basically decided to go secular after that. It seems as though her parents forced her to do the Christian music. When she got older and could make her own decisions, she did her own thing.
To respond to Imogen's comment, yes I connect a lot of things with the Bible. I read it a lot. Anything can be connected by means of metaphor and analogy to anything. As a Christian, I feel it is my responsibility to let truth be known. Nothing should be taken a face value and everything should be evaluated. You can say my comments are falling on deaf ears, or in this case blind eyes. But it's very possible that someone (Christian or not) may read them and see the truth in them. Will my comments on a lyrics site change the world? Probably not. But it's not hurting. The comments get feedback daily. So they're at least getting recognition.

And I just want to say, that as lame as this argument has become, I'm proud to see our world is not full of only retards like. Lets say lobonte123.
It doesn't even matter what we say about this song. Everyone will still have their same opinions.

I think blob4ever is right its a song. No one is tell anyone to be g* or you must be g* to listen to it (I'm also not gay). I think this song is a way of katy perry expressing herself she may have gone through a time in her life that she felt attracted to another girl and shes just singing bout that time in her life but so what. If two people love each other weither it be man and women or man and man or women and woman people should be more accepting of it. On the same case I think if a guy sang this song and changed the lyrics to I kissed a guy I don't think the public would like it casue the general public are more accepting to lesbains then to gays (no offense to any g* or lesbian people) and plus it a great song plus katy perry is hott!

I am straight. Lets start with that. But, seriously this is the song of the year! Just because I'm straight I can't like this song. I hate it when people say that! Especially my grandmother! Then, people go and say it's a bad influence on kids. Let me tell ya, a song is not going to influence a kid on his/her sexuality. That's their choice. My 10 year old sister loves this song but, thinks the idea of "gay" is gross (No offense to anyone). So what do you think about that Fox News?

When will people get it into their heads, this is not A lesbian song! It is just about curiosity and experimenting, most girls whether they want to admit it or not have thought about it. It is not the most serious song either and for people who think it is dirty, probably don't realise a lot of others are too, but because its about girls people think it is bad.
I love this song, I think Katy Perry has an amazing voice and I hate people critisising her so much.

I'm 31 years old. And believe it or not I love this song! I love the beat. And trust me. I'm not a lesbian. But I have kissed a few girls in my days. And it's kinda like the song says. It felt so wrong. It felt so right. But it was all in fun! I'd never take it back for a second! It's one of those things you grow old with and have stories to tell your grandkids that maybe you. 'lived a little'. Like sophaaay says. If you don't like the song. Heaven forbid don't listen to it! Nobody says you have to.

I think that this is one of those songs that is supposed to be s* and fun. Not serious and "Hey children, go out and be queers!" So, to all of those that take this song seriously and talk of the horrible effects on kids that it has, get a grip! One song isn't going to turn your little babies into homosexuals. It's a song to laugh about and to dance too.

Wvrocks, that's what I said. God loves you no mater what. Look, I just don't agree with the lyrics. She has a great voice, and the song has a nice beat to it. The lyrics are wrong, that's my opinion. And pleaz just get off my back! You can tell me, "oh there's nothing wrong with it, the girl is just having fun, it doesn't mean anything". Well to me, it does! And nothing's gonna change my mind. And I wouldn't have brang up the bible if I knew you guys were gonna tell me off. I'm a christian! Look, I am not saying she's a bad singer, she's a great singer. I just don't like someof her songs. Ok, end of discussion.

First of all God loves everyone! Even g* people. Everyone needs to know that. It is a sin though. Just like murder and lying is. Hey people like to murder, people like to lie. Though true christians are suppost to be loving and never have hate come out of there mouths. It is love the sinner and hate the sin. So just to let you know. God loves everyone. Lust is just as bad for a hetero Sexual as a Homosexual. Only in a marriage between a man and a women is alright.

Who is to say who is right or wrong by being straight or g* or whatever you may be?. I think whats really unfair is saying your bi or g* when your not, using it as a way of attention, or saying stuff like "Your so effin gay" its rude, and disrespectful, I won't lie, I don't like homophobics, not like I care if they are. But if someone got a problem wit me or my friends for being bi or g* I simply have been saying lately go tell someone who cares, I don't think people understand how it hurts, its sad, but it happens, discrimination is gone to the max I believe, first that I heard of was religion, who cares whats your religion, your human, then it was color, who cares if your white or black, or whatever your still a nice person your color wouldnt change that, then theres homophobia, like come on people id like to go one day where I didn't watch someone say or do sumthin hurtful to another person, big small tall short whatever, it don't matter in the end your who you wanna be. And don't change that for no one.

One of my friends introduced me to this song. At first I thought it was kind of weird. But then I really warmed up to it. It says that even if you are a lesbian{I'm not} that you can have a life like other people. People who disagree and say that lesbians are losers and g* marriage is wrong should get a life and but out of other peoples business.

All of y'all need to chill and stop judging people for what they believe. I may not have read all of your msgs y'all sent to each other but I've read enough to know that you all are some judgemental people. Live your own lives. And stop trying to run someone else's! Christian or not. G*, lesbian, bisexual, or whatever you may be. It's okay to be different. Just don't judge that's God's choice and one day you will be judged. I'm just going to let you know that I'll be praying for all of you that seem to live their lives "christian-like" and those who don't read their bible. I'm not criticizing y'all I'm just so tired of people over reacting over what new song comes out or what a singer or actor/actress does in their life. We're all human. We make mistakes everyday of our lives. So if your against it. Leave the people who believe in it. Alone! And those who believe in it don't listen to those who don't. I'm sure someone has told you to live your life to the fullest. They didn't say how! So go out there and have fun and don't listen to the people who for one. Don't even know you. And two just go have fun! And that's what I have to say about that subject. So na!

And if I remember corectly she was sayin that to booglieie or whoever cuz she said "my opion is the only right one" and she brought religion into it, I don't need you to like me. And I don't care heres what I think straight people only see it from there way that's it. Most at least lol mizz casey made a good point and I thank her for that shes right katy is supporrting gays and bi's and lez" and you know what lololololol or however you have it spelt you don't know what its like. Read where that booglieie girl or whoever wrote then get back to me okay, cuz religion don't have nothing to do with it. Everyone keeps talking about God now. Who's god? Who's law? Some gods were created to scare slaves into doing their bidding. Other gods were made to make money (Scientology). With so many gods and so many laws, and one always effecting the other. Who is really right? Probably no one. The only thing I can really believe in is myself. You don't need a god to tell you right from wrong. You always know it deep down in your heart. Who ever wrote this song wasn't writing it for you "holier than thou" people. Those of you who think you are in a seat high enough to judge should start your own religion. You might be the next David Koresh. But with every heaven there is a hell. Just ask David Koresh.
    So be nice!

Interesting lyrics. Perhaps another element to the song is the mention of 'drink' (I'm guessing alcohol) that takes away our natural inhibitions to such an action. I don't think this song is about being g* but rather the confusion that taking any drug can cause.
Monkeyman18 - you try to quote the Bible when you don't know what it says.
If you really want to think about what Matthew 7: 1 is saying, just look at the next 3 verses. The Bible does not forbid anyone to judge. Just warns you that you will be judged with the same criteria that you judge others.
Also look at John 7: 24 which clearly permits righteous judgement. (and if you really want to get down to the knitty gritty of it all: if God condemns the act of homosexuality, (Leviticus 18: 22 and Romans 1: 25-27) then all God-fearing Christians ought to as well.

This song is related on what's happenin' on the real world. But Kat730 try to be open minded abt stuffs like this. I'm also a strong christian like what you've said. I go to a catholic school, do what christians do and believe in what christians believe. I know that the church is against on a same s* relationship. But they're just human. We're just human. Humans have feelings and humans do fall in love. Love knows no gender. But there are just some people who don't understand what others feel when we discriminate them about being on the third s*., try to respect others and what others feel. And besides this is just a song, if you don't want to listen then don't!, and if you'll try to see the video it's just a "dream"., I know there are people (or girls) who are curious what it's like evn if they're not lesbians. This tune is abso cracking, it would still be great if it sed "I kissed ur ma and i loved it" or some other crazy example; as opposed to say this tune is just good and catchy. I wouldnt go kissing a girl but whats wrong with it? Abso nothing! Love this (H) Love Cheesychip xx.

We understand that God loves you. I love you. God also loved Hitler, Sadam Hussein, Osama, and Judas Iscariot. Does that mean they weren't immoral? No. I'm sure you've heard the expression "Hate the sin, love the sinner". Well that is what God feels toward all these people (including you and me.) I'm not sinless by any means, and I'm not saying you're the spawn of satan. However, homosexuality is. Lust is. Drunkenness is. Murder is. And the list goes on.
Also, this song is immoral on more than the homosexual level. She is drinking (God doesn't forbid drinking, but He does forbid drunkenness. And she was drunk) and she is cheating on her boyfriend. She could even sing "I kissed another guy and I liked it". But that still wouldn't make it right.
I will declare that I have lusted and I'm sure I will lust on more than one occasion in my lifetime (you can lust at more than just the human body). I know that lusting is immoral and that I am commiting an immoral act when I do so. Why won't you, as a Bible-believing Christian, admit that homosexuality (and bisexuality) is a sin?

That means I've seen that you do write meanings to songs. The others mentioned in the group are usually either the cliché "I like this song" or "The singer is so cute" and so on.

Sorry, one more thing for now. To comment in Deviantman's fable: Yes all guys think girls making out is awesome. In a Christian perspective, it's sickening and arousing. But so is the idea of stealing something. A cleptomaniac knows it's wrong to steal, but that doesn't stop him from stealing. A murderer knows it's wrong to kill, but he feels that rush. I call it temptation. We all struggle with something. Due to environment, nature, nurture, we don't all have the same temptation. When you say it's right for a girl to kiss a girl, but it's wrong for a guy to kiss a guy it doesn't seem fair. It's like saying lesbianism is ok, but male homosexuality isn't.
And to add to your list of 'older g* people' issac (I realized I didn't have any women). Rosie O'donnell, Ellen Degenerous, Melissa Etheredge, (and more guys) Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Rob Halford, Michael Stipe. And I know these are all celebrities, but they are humans.
-note: I see bisexual as homosexual.

Huum, sorry but before we continue, what you have to say about that?
"Genesis is a big fake. Why? You can find in all pages a lie. Some exemple:
God created the Earth => light => sea => plants => stars => Moon => animals => men => women in that order.
I want to show you two things. You said you haven't seen evidence to disprove anything that is mentioned in the 66 books of the Holy Bible. (woah, you haven't search) So let's see.
Today, we are scientist who can prove stars was here before earth. We don't know exactly how the earth have been created. Okay, but the earth have been created (and the moon) and we know that => after the see, plants, animals => evolution men! You have found you'are first evidence who disprove something in the bible! Congratulation!
So why we can read stars have been created after earth? Because he Genesis corresponds to the vision of the time's authors and it's completly different from the reality (poor author, they don't know sciences >

I think that living your life by a book that was written by people who thought they had an interaction with a supreme being is so incredibly stupid I can't find words to get it across t you all. Pauldan, If Kevin loves Sean it isn't anyone's concern but their own, I think you judging people and then calling it the word of God is cowardly and wrong.
As to the meaning of the song I think it means "Hmm, how can I make as much money with as little effort as possible... Oh i know, fake-o lesbo lyrics and a loud bass line"

It's just a song, and a catchy one at that. I honestly don't think the intention was to promote gays and lesbians. But why is that such a problem that it is, we live in the 21st century, you're goimng to have to get over your fear of gays and lesbians, it's not a big issue. To be fair, if you don't like the song, don't listen to it. Do us all a favour and worry about something worth worrying about, this will all die down in a while, I guarantee it. Thankyou :)

Uhmm did anyone stop to think that maybe its just words to the song? I mean someone not everyone has done the things they have sang about and besides, if most rap can be all about smokein, drinking, hoes, and bling, with some caps in peoples asses, and most country is always some sad sob story or messed up story and they lost something. I think you get the point if someone makes a song that has a good beat and it sells and gets the money then they have done their job. Some people will like it others wont, and if this was something that happened to her, she's just shareing it with the world just like 95% of other singers. It's not going to harm anyone and if you don't like it don't listen to it or let your family listen to it that's up to you. But then again you must ask yourself why your wasteing your time knocking some song, and worried that its polluting the minds of your childern. Why don't you fight for something worth fighting for, go ahead and google how the government yes our govenrment is genetically altering our food, having kim trails sprayed in the sky, and adding nanos to our worldy possesions. That's something worth bishin about and worring about kids over. Sheesh. I made a song and people are bitching about it should be the next one this chick comes out with. And if this does influence your kids, then good for the boys cause they should be kissing girls: P

It's a song about an adult situation. Each and every one of you girls saying she's a dyke and a l* and a w*e is a hypocrite because at some point, you have kissed a girl. It is inevitable, just like the guys that try to say that they don't masturbate. So, get over it, it's just a song, no dirty subliminal meanin to pollute our youth, just a damn song.

This is the worst song I've ever heard. It's insulting to g* women everywhere. It's obviously written by a guy who gets off on watching girls kiss. It's about some stupid s* making light of kissing the same gender like it's "cute" with no regard for the discriminatory bullshit that people of the same gender who kiss because they are in love are put through every day. Read those lyrics!
"It's not what, good girls do / Not how they should behave / My head gets so confused...I kissed a girl just to try it / I hope my boyfriend don't mind it / It felt so wrong / It felt so right / Don't mean I'm in love tonight"
This girl got drunk and is using somebody to make her boyfriend jealous.

To bluebonnet, ok well you mentioned that Religion, Politics and sexuality are the three things your not meant to talk about, then why can she sing about her sexuality, like you said its a free country so I have the rights to say whatever I want when I want, just like she can sing wateva she wants. I live by my religion and we should all live by our religion. Jesus died for us so we I will live for him. And no I have neva kissed a girl and neva will because that's totally against what I believe. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Whos shoving views down peoples throats? Ok well Hey guys I just wanted to state something, why are people telling off the people who are just stating their beliefs, I'm a christian and I have commented before, but after reading everyones comments, most people are saying that what were saying is wrong and that its right to be homosexual, did anyone say we hate themm. Noo. You guys are saying you love the song and that oww g* pride, then that gives us the rights to say we are against that. Yes God loves everyone, but to those who say they are a true christian and are homosexuals or bio, I just want you guys to know that God loves you either way and that its not that were saying ur going to hell, please do not think that coz those who judge people for their salvation will be judged by Christ, instead check out 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11

Hey guys, ok I'm not against gays as humans I will always respect them, that's what God teaches us to respect everyone whoever they are, however I am against their beliefs and thoughts. I totally disagree with the lyrics to the song, its soo sad because the beat is awesome and cathcy however the lyrics kill it. Please I do not mean to offend any homersexual person, I do not hate them, I just hate their beliefs. Awesome rhythm to the song but again crappy lyrics. We need good music, music which actually means something to everyone, not dirty lyrics, yeah and I just wanted to say that God is real and so is Heaven and Hell, if you choose not to believe that, then that's not my fault, its yours. God is great, wonderful, awesome, powerful, incredible. God is Love! And even if the bible is manmade, it was passed on from Jesus Christs time, he is the one who had taught us whats right and wrong. Ok well I am certainly not trying to start anything, just speaking my opinion like everyone else. Thanx.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
    Romans 1: 18-28.

And I'm a none believer of god, but once again! I don't see how god comes into play, I mean no one really knew him anyways so even if he was real. But it don't even matter cuz he aint alive and I don't kno if theres a heaven or hell, it don't matter, this song rocks, and whoever said Get a life, you should too: P
Yoitscourtney umm you said you chose who you are. Then said you are who you are you sayin we chose what we wanted to be, I'm bi and I have no control over it, and if there sayin they chose it then umm there posers. And why shouldnt people have a right to being married to same s*? Umm when you wake up in the morning do you ever think. Hmm what should I do today. Maybe go for a walk with my friends? . Well what if someone took that away said you can't go with your friends. That you could get in s*t for it would you push for the right? I mean its the same thing. Maybe not in your mind but its a lost of a right everyone has, so next time you say stuff about gays not aloud to marry think of your friends. They need ya support, or they aint gettin no where, that what ya want? To be fightin ur friends on who they can marry. It is part of who they are, keep that in mind. You are part of thier future.

In fact, this song isn't the first of its kind. It is simply the first of it's kind to come out into the mainstream spotlight. My prediction is, sure a lot of crappy artists may seek to copy the trend, but perhaps more unknown artists who already have this kind of edgy homosexual feel to it will get more known. I suppose this could be actually a beneficial thing; it brings out more music into the world. I've heard a lot of homosexual lyrics and music in the electronica scene that is actually really, really good.
Then again, I'm not 100% for our radio stations being dominated by homosexual edgy music. I mean, there's only so much sexual music one can take.

I still think that it is just a stupid fad. It is a good song but it will be coped by people with a lot less talent and belive or not, they will get any awards that might come to this song. Katy Perry is the hip new thing right now. But in 10 20 30 years her music will be long gone and replaced with something a lot worse. This happened to neil young. His music is the stuff of legunds. Now nearly no one is litsening to his stuff. Try down by the river. It has a long gutar peice in the middle but trust me it is worth it!

    O. K. I get yur point =} But think. Imagin yur 50 years old. Do you think that you will turn on the radio and hear this song? I love the song as much as you do. But I think that soon other people will catch on to this fad and start playing this stuff. {Bey the way: like this song? Try Billy the mountain by frank zappa} Just because it is not on the radio now does not mean it won't be on the radio in 50 years.

Your so stupid if you can't understand what this song is about. Its about a girl going to a party getting drunk and kissing a girl it happens all the time. Shes not putting down g* people. She saying that girls sometimes get typsy and they get turned on my other girls. I'm not g* I'm not bi. But I have gotten drunk and felt exzactly the way she says in this song its very easy to understand. I've kissed a girl and liked it too. But I was drunk just like the song says.

Did you hear the news yesterday? This guy was in love with another mans wife. But for obvious resigns he could not have her. He was a little bit wacky so he thought that if he could not have her no one could. So he broke into their house and tried to kill them, but the real husband hit him over the head with a fan repeatedly until he was knocked unconscious. All of the nuts are not in the trees.

In an interview Katy Perry said that this song isn't based on an actual event; rather, it's an expression of her admiration of timelessly beautiful women.
And to most of the other people who commented on this song: you don't have to be bisexual or homosexual to like it! Cor! Stop being so freakin homophobic! We don't care if you're bi! It doesn't change your value as a person! @^$^#*

I think these lyric mix with the melody cool. It gets stuck in my head which is a sign of a hit. This song shows a meaning of first experiences and actions you just want to try. I think it would be more contraversal it the lyrics where-"i kisses a boy and i liked it the taste of his..." you get it the meaning would be the same but it willbe looked as very nasty and g* I think that's wrong. Which shows the doude standard with in lesbians and g* guys.

Brandilover is exactly right. The songs you are so g* and I kissed a girl are two of her most sold on itunes. Those two exceed the popularity of her other tracks by far. They are profiting from low class controversy and perpetuating it with the friction created by groups on both sides of the taboo opinion. I learned that in business school. If you ask me about the song itself and not all the other B. S its just a pop version and idea stoled from Jill Sobules - I Kissed A Girl. The lyrics are different but aren't to different.

Its just an experiment. She was just trying it out. She said she was just curious didn't she?
It just means she was a bit drunk and she tried it and liked it! Girls, please don't tell me u've never felt curious about how it would feel to kiss a girl. Katy perry just took it to the next level.
I think this is a witty, cutesy addicting song and katy was very brave to write a song like this! *Clapclapclap.* : D

I generally understand both sides of arguments so I'm not much of a debater. I can understand both sides of inyourface and luvduv's argument which is weird because they are completely opposite. Inyourface since I completely understand your predisposition to using science to argue instead of religion which can be bias and manipulated, I just want to ask you not as a way to argue, but as a legitimate question: do you think that being g* or lesbian is a choice or a result of something neurological/chemical? Because if it is chemical then it is considered natural because it occured in the human body without a precursor. Oh well.

Oh my gosh, I like that you, inyourface, are a stupid, psycho b*h who needs to get a life and stop caring about what other people do. I have a boyfriend, I've kissed a girl, and this song has basically helped me realize that it's ok for me to be Bi. I think that you should worry about yourself and leave everyone else alone. If you had enough time to type up that incredibly long letter to luvduv, then you obviously don't have enough common sense to realize that no one here wants to hear your opinions, you homophobic a*. Now build a bridge, and get over it!

It's just a song. She's a singer and she wrote about possibly a personal experience, or maybe a fantasy. Either way, It doesn't matter. This definitely isn't the song with the worst lyrics. Regardless of if it is about gays, lesbians, or anything else. They are humans as well. They should be treated as such. With the type of world we live in now, it's about time someone wrote A good song about it! Now let's just work on having equal rights, Shall we?

We all know. Deep in ourselves that this song is against the law of god! Remember that we are created with our opposite gender. We are to love him/her(your opposite gender).
But. To katy perry it's nothing to her. After all. She's an illuminati (person who sold his/her soul to devil). Want proof? Watch it on you tube and search for illiminati music industry exposed full length. Although it's long. It's still worth it.

Hey look, there aren't many girls out there who never tried it, or never thought about it. Girls (Women) are the sexiest things on the planet, and other women know this fact as well as the men, why do you think they are such a close knit group (like going to the bathroom together, and talking on the phone with each-other for hours). They are actually more prone to have sexual thoughts when they are in packs or groups than when they are alone. This is a "scientific fact" - ok, that was kinda over the top (quoting from Champ Kind 'Sports' in Anchor Man) lol.

Katy Perry loves to take risks. This song was the perfect catchy melody to help her break into the Top 40 scene and into national prominence. Impossible to get out of your head, whether people love it or hate it, they will always remember it. This minister's daughter has a perfectly calculated naughty image that will likely carry her far. Her characteristic hype music is the perfect guilty pleasure. Fans needn't have worried that "I Kissed A Girl" would make Katy Perry a one-hit wonder. This song is a novelty, yes, but Katy Perry is the true novelty.

A girl was so drunk that night, she ends up kissing a stranger that's a girl. She's not bisexual but she enjoyed the kiss though she knew it's wrong.
I think this is a catchy song. I like to sing this a lot. It doesn't show a good idea to the listeners but we are the ones who should be more mature. So I think there's nothing wrong with it 'coz it's just a song.

Everyone seems to think that this song is about kissing girls, bisexuality, sexual curiosity, all of that. But Katy Perry said herself that the song is actually just about the beauty of a woman, and the power that a woman posesses because of that beauty. The whole girls kissing is kind of just a metaphor. That's not to say that this hasn't happened to Katy Perry, it probably has, but the song isn't about that. Yeah she probaly did kiss a gurl but it doesn't mean shes a bad person and it doesn't make them a criminal. Its natural and you should express yourself and show who you really are.

This song expresses her feelings on sexuality. In the second verse, the artist sings "It felt so wrong It felt so right". It shows that the artist was confused on what was right and wrong. In the third verse, the artist sings "It doesn't matter, you're my experimental game". These lines show her curiosity. The artist doesn't know the name of the person she kissed, but it didn't matter because she was drunk. She wasn't thinking straight. In the fifth verse, the artist sings "soft skin, red lips, so kissable". This line shows that a woman's attraction is hard to resist by anyone. This song is about a curious woman that wanted to try new things.

Sorry Sofie, but your assumption that homosexuals are born g* is completely false. It's a choice. True, there may be some people more tempted by the notion depending on their upbringing, environment, etc. But ultimately, you choose to be heterosexual, homosexual, or not sexual at all.
Um, my take on "is Katy Perry a lesbian?" is No, she's not. However, she does set the bad example that she kissed someone (doesn't matter the gender) while she's dating a guy. She's in a club drinking. And she's under 21. And to all the people who say "she's only experimenting. She only kissed a girl once, and it was only a kiss". Think about this. What if someone is only experimenting with murder? Drugs? Rape? You know, he only beat someone 'half' to death and it was only once. That guy only snorted coke once, and it wasn't even the strong stuff. He only copped a feel on the girl who didn't want it, he didn't try to have s* with her. And it was only once.
Think about that. The world isn't relative. A sin is a sin is a sin. Homosexuality is a sin. Whether you believe in God or not, men are not biologically meant for another man. Same with women. Believe in God or not, most people will agree that one ultimate goal for a human is procreation. A man can't have a baby. A woman can't get another woman pregnant.
I love homosexual people and will associate with them and treat them as normal. But homosexuality is wrong.

Silbbolet. Please don't take this offensive. Homosexuality was a sin before Christ. Way before. Like beginning of the world before. Understand that God made a woman for Adam. Also, in Genesis, God destroyed everyone in the world because of Noah. Then, Sodom and Gamorah were destroyed, specifically due to sexual immorality (it's where Sodomy comes from). There are countless accounts in the Old Testament where God says homosexuality is an abomination.
Please don't take me as bashing. I'm just clearing up a misunderstanding.

Hi guys! While time goes by the sociality makes so much s*t as it never has to do. I highly hope that this song you've been discussing since yesterday is gonna be left as just a song. Young boys and girls have to disregard Katty's position and be straight as much as neccessary. In case this song becomes a kind of permission for kids for doing tabu, we are going to disappear. So I think we shall to negative gays and lesby, don't you?

To kakashilover911, God made you, we live his way not ours and we make the choice of obeying him or disobeying him. He gave us everything we want and need, the least we can do is obey him. Do not say God doesn't understand, if God made the world how he is he understands everything. Off course God loves us to death that's why he sent jesus to die for us, for our sins which he simply said no to and when we apologise he simply forgives us and forgets. God loves everyone, just like our fathers love us. Please understand that and you can't say you love gays, their might be gays who are extremely horrible and their are some with the nicest personalities but if everyone just reads the Bible they will truly understand what I'm saying, check out 1 corinthians 6"9-11. Hey we all should accept gays but we have the choice to accept their actions. Whos budding into peoples businesses? No one, we are all speaking our opinions and we have the rights to do that, am I telling you to stop saying what your saying coz its wrong? Noo I'm not soo why can't we all do the same. Ok well God Bless you alll and God Loves You.

I think it's really funny that you guys are arguing about Religon and Sexuality, what next Politics? Don't you know that those are the top three topics that you're not supposed to talk about. This song has nothing to do with any of the above really. She got drunk and kissed a girl. Didn't the majority of us kiss a girl at least once back in high school? Maybe your best friend?(that question goes to people over the age of 16) I'm religious, but I'm not shoving my views down anyone's freakin throat.(and just b/c I said freakin doesn't mean I'm not religious, or that I'm a bad person) I think this song is really catchy and I like it. Plus she can sing about whatever she wants. It is a free country you know. If we tried to tell her she couldn't we'd be taking away her rights.(as a you. S. Citizen)anywho God does love everyone, and I have plenty of g* friends guys and girls. I don't agree with it, but it doesn't matter I or anyone else on here thinks anyway. So stop talking trash to each other. You're acting like a bunch of twelve year olds! That's my two cents about it. Peace.

I am a Christian teenager and I love music (especially Chris Brown, Panic! At the Disco, and Skye Sweetnam. They kick a*!), but this song is wrong on sooo many levels. It is disturbing and I cannot see how it made it onto itune's Top 10 list. Not only did it make it onto the list, but it is the number 1 song on itunes right now! Someone needs to stop this, and I think that with a great vocal voice like Katy's, she needs to totally rethink her lyrics.

If you're a christian, instead of spreading intolerance, spread understanding. Your beliefs shouldn't be imposed on others. I'm a christian, but I am bicurious. That doesn't mean I have to explore the curiosity. Not everyone has the same values or morals - you can't judge people based on your personal beliefs, they don't share them. Burping at table is extremely rude in the west, in the middle however it's considered to be complimentary and it's almost rude not to burp!
Just because you aren't g*, and don't want to be, and dislike the idea, doesn't mean that you can foist your ideas and opinions onto others. You can tell people politely how you feel. But don't insult their lifestyles.

Many of you who keep talking about how gays are bad and that God's wrath will come down upon sinners, you guys don't understand what you're talking about. Where was God during the Holocaust? Where was God during the oppression of Christians and Jews during Emperor Nero's reign? God gave us a choice to either f*k up or not, and he won't do anything to correct us or punish us. And those who talk about Heaven and Hell: Heaven is the kingdom of God or paradise, Hell is a place without God meaning nothing exists including pain, sorrow, and emotions such as loneliness. It's like losing conciousness. Now I don't know if either of them exists or not, but the bible does describe them and to me, neither of them sound too bad. So this song is perfectly fine through my eyes.

Love this song. Beat is kick a*. And I've alwasy been against gays but I met a girl that changed my mind on things. She is g* of course but not the stereo type butch g*. Shes cool and a very close friend. Ok yea you guessed it we dated for a little while but still friends. I'm not g* I was just curious about what it was like to be g* and its not any different than straight. Because with guys I love the way their calussed fingers feel on my face and their strong arms around me. But at the same time I like the idea of the gentle touch of a girl and their tenderness. Both are intreging. So all the haters back off it is about god its about finding yourself. And being happy.

Um well I would just like to say I don't hate g* people but I hate the sin I believe God is alive and that there is a heaven and a hell and if gays don't change they're way then they will be going to hell If God wanted us to be g* then he would have made Adam and Steve Not Adam and Eve. All you have to do if you feel guilty of how you have been living your life and you know that Jesus died for us on the cross all you have to do is repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness and God will leave your mistakes in the past.

I'm sorry but I tend to disagree. Being g* or bi or lesibian is a choice. You choose who you are. You make who you are everyday. You are who you are and no one can change that. You're not born into anything, except sin. I know a lot of g* people and they have told me straight up it was their choice to like the same s*. And I can't change that. I love them for who they are and will never stop caring for them. I do not support g* rights because I am a Christian. God made man and woman with certain tasks to be done in this world with each other. Having one another creates a oneness that is descibed as a oneness and a relationship with Jesus Christ. I have heard this song manyyy times and sometimes I sing along. Who doesn't? Were human, it's catchy, it's satan, but we all fall short. I looked up the lyrics, bad choice, and now I'm voicing my opinion. We all have that right. Go for it.

I think this song means that just because you don't go along with the usual that you don't have to worry about it b/c people around the world poor or rich are giong through the same thing! I'm glad dat she made this song b/c it gets out the point that some people are just g* and that people that are in the public eye are tryin to get the point across that no one is perfect and that only god can judge you! (I'm not g* but I do believe in equalityh! Unlike some people!) and for the people that are afraid of g* people or haters let them live their life b/c they have to stand b4 god for the choices that they make and if you judge them then you will be judged for judging them! I am a christian, I believe in Christ and his unconditional love for all of us. Christ came to earth to renew whatever the old testament said. It is the old testament that says homosexuality is a sin, Jesus never said that. How do you think Christ would forgive a prostitute who gives her body and her sexuality for money, and wouldn't understand a couple of the same s* who are actually in love? Love is the biggest and most important lesson we got from Jesus. To truly love and not be judgmental towards others.

    Well.
I'm a straight teenage girl, and tho I have a few g/l/b friends, and I am offended by all of the homophobic comments. I'm going to try to stay out of the pure gay/anti-g* debate as much as possible and focus on this particular song.
First off, the basics: Catchy beat, fun to listen too, seems like a good party song. Definately a hook that catches your attention, too. : 3 For me this song isn't about being lesbian or not, it's more about the whole feeling of the situation described: being buzzed at a party, feeling totally spontanious and outrageous, taking a risk (or whatev) that you wouldn't normally take just because you realized you wanted to at the time, and then later being like "Hmm...did I really just do that?" It's certainly true that people have written songs about much worse things then that.
Also, as a quick side note: I see that there are lots of openly anti-homosexual people who are against this song, but I really think the worst is the people who are leaving comments like "Well, I'm not homophobic...but ew!!! how could they write a song like this!!!" (I believe one girl who commented towards the beginning (forget your name, am too lazy to go back and look.-_-) who said she had a lesbian aunt and then went on to say something along the lines of "What next? "I kissed a dog and I liked it? "") Dunno about everyone else, but. To me. That sounds like homophobia.(And wow, her poor aunt.) Just get over yourself.
Comments on this comment will probably not be replied to, btw, but I will be watching to see if anyone has anything to add. :)

Well yea, part of the reason I posted that ridiculously long blob, was cause it was my opinion.
And the part about "not supported facts" um. Yea I have no basis of any fact what so ever, that is to say I guess free will is an opinion, um maybe nature really did anticipate humanities s*w ups, uh G doesn't exist. This is crap I pulled off my head and out of my a*. So throughout that whole blob I knew for a "fact" it was all my opinion.
So when you said I was giving all as an opinion when I stated keep your opinions to yourself, yea I made myself look like a dumbass but I don't recall saying I was smart and I don't recall saying read me for I am right. I'm an average joe with an extremely confused open mind. So the next time you want to correct my circular reasoning mmm don't bother. Itll just make me more confused than I should be.

But it is nice to know that you read my text and chose to argue something even more off topic from the original, congrats.

People. How many of us call ourselves christians? How many of us believe in decency? How many of us believe that woman was created for man and man for woman (in marriage, anyway)? This song is not innocent. Please don't fool yourselves. This brazen, foolish, rash behavior shouldn't inspire you. Girls, god has so much more for you. Do you want what kp has? A broken marriage, complete rebellion to her parents, a broken relationship with her family, and meanwhile she is on the cover of the nat enquirer and dancing on mtv with most of clothes off. You don't want that. Please don't let this song inspire you. Sin tastes sweet for a while. But listen to me when I say one day you'll wake up on the other side of it. And like kp has found it. It hurts.
Follow christ's plan for you! It is not perfect, but it will work everytime! And you know what else? I'm 15. I've been to parties and I've danced around with my friends. But I am honest when I say I've never kissed anybody. I want so desperately to save that for my husband on our wedding day. And I definitely never plan to kiss a girl.
It's not just an option. It's a sin. Please listen to me and don't let this crap inspire you. You are worth so much more than this sick junk.

I think this song is terrible. God made girls to like guys and that's how it should be. Girls should never like other girls. That is nasty and even unthinkable. The world is becoming such an evil place. No matter how attracted you are to the same s** you should always stay pure and guard your heart. God loves you more than anybody else could. Stay true to who you are and what you know is right. You are not made to like the same s**, so don't even say that is who you are.

I don't like katy perry she is never a good singer/songwriter this song is so gross in my opioin all this song is about is about being super drunk and kissing girls it's pathetic and not only that but they relse it to young girls [and some boys] and they sing it, it's sad to know that not only some songs are telling people to do wrong things but also young adult plus kids listen to them and parents are letting them listen to it? No way it's not good yeah sure sometimes we love these songs but there not good! Parents let ur kids listen to music but make sure it's got no f bombs or words dricted to women which are ment to be offensive to people and make sure the artist or band you know well [like in songs and lyrics] this song is not good 4 young girls or boys who want this to happen in ya dreams! Oh and Chrisfisha-crossriff [oookkk] that 'Helen keller" song is 4rm a band called 3oh! 3 don't belive me well type in 'serch in song names' box 'don't trust me' read the lyrics that's the 'Helen Kellar' song ok? Chris, before I recognize your comment, I want to say something to "Miley0707".
Sweetie, you have no place to do what you're doing now. If you do not want to be in this debate, I suggest you hit the 'back' button or change the website or lyrics page you are on. We can debate all we want about this song, and we will without any hesitation. So, I'm asking you to please rise above your childness and immaturity.
Now Chris, I understand fully where you are coming from. And I respect everything you have mentioned. But I wonder now, since there are so many homosexuals, fornicators, idolators, and drunkards in the world today, does that mean they will all be damned to Hell? Whereas they cannot be forgiven for their ways?
I definately see God as a powerful person. I respect Him. But honestly, I don't see Him as a man who would do that.

Alright you guys, I'm going to put this out there again. I am an active christian (and bisexual) and I see no problem to this song considering religion. I have a Bible. I read my Bible. And recently, I went on a retreat. At that retreat I felt God telling me he is always there for me and loves me no matter what. Therefore I say:.
God loves His children no matter what. Yes, the Bible says how He created man in His own image. He created woman from the first man's rib. He created both of them so that they may populate the earth with simialr beings.
Nonetheless, God loves everyone. Whether they are heterosexual, homosexual, or both.
And I will glady stay put and prove my point. There are so many others in this world who are running scared because they believe God cannot love them for who they are. But that's wrong.
He loves you, no matter what you are.
So. With that being said, this song is, by no means, incorrect or immoral.

Realaniram, God will let anyone do what they please. People can be g**. But just like everything else, the is a consequence. I can't believe a government that wouldn't let people go over the speed limit. Truth is, anyone can go over the speed limit. But there is a penalty, isn't there? What I can't believe is that a country will let a mother kill her unborn baby just because she doesn't want it. You think I hate homosexuality. Whew! Abortion gets me all redfaced with my ears burning.

Ok, being Christian and being homosexual does not matter if you follow God or not. If you wanna marry your own gender, go ahead! The Bible shouldn't tell you who you should and shouldn't like. I think that y'all should lay off this stuff. I'm a boy and if I liked a boy, would you consider that bad? I think that whatever you wanna do is what you should do. You don't have to do everything a book tells you to do. You don't even have to believe in God. You need to do what your heart tells you. This is my opinion. If you agree, vote up, if not, vote down.

No offense, Bigdog40. But you're no better. What you just said would, in a sense, classify you as a n****r. Or at least the original form of 'nigger' which means "idiot". The word originally had nothing to do with the color of one's skin. It was said many years before we even knew about african slavery.
This is only an assumption, but I think this is how it happened: The black people were sold into slavery. We didn't anything to call them, except for 'Black' due to their color of skin (I know not all blacks are black, but not all whites are white. So just go with it) and I guess they didn't feel like saying "black" all the time. They used the word negro. Which is the spanish word for the color black. Well us suthern tawkin suns a guns caint speak correct ainglish sumtymes. So Negro started being a short and mean "Negra!". And then eventually into something so derrogatory, that it became the offense that it is now. N****r.
So, even if you refuse to be called a n****r Bigdog. You gotta admit that you're no better than someone who is making racist comments when you sit there and say "Lobonte123 Shut the fuck up you stupid retarted faggot, dont call people niggers for no reason , if i knew where you lived if come over to your fuckin house and rip your throat out and rape your mother you arragoant facist fucking little shit. god i fuckin hate queers like you."

    ___.
Man, I can't believe I didn't see this before. And I know it's old news, but I meant to say "God destroyed all of the world EXCEPT for Noah and his family due to immorality (sexual being included)..."
No reason to restart the debate. Just review past posts. I justed wanted to clear that up.

Scientists are very narrowminded. They are the reason why Creationism can't even be suggested. Scientists claim they try every test they possibly can to get to the truth, but they won't give the idea of Creationism the time of day. Christians don't manipulate. You're right. I am a sheep. And Christ is my shepherd. I can definitely think for myself. That's why I choose what I believe. The Bible says "God created the heavens and the earth". Heavens doesn't exactly mean "Heaven". It means "celestial terrain" in a nutshell. I know about all the stories the Bible supposedly stole from, but there's no fact in that. Why isn't it possible to think that they stole it from our belief system? Ok, let's say there is a man named John. John has three kids. He teaches his kids everything he knows about God. One kid gets married, takes a tribe of friends and heads south. When his kids are old enough, he starts to tell stories about God. But John Jr. Didn't listen very well. He gets mixed up and tells the story a little different. There goes a new belief. And that can go on for the thousands of years of life on earth. The belief in the existence of my God has been around since day one. Even though the book was written a little while after, the stories were the first to ever be told. The Bible has stood the test of time. Skeptics have been trying to knock it for years. But they can't. Every other religion that is that old is either endangered or extinct. You've got to at least give it props. And if it's a lie, then we've had one looong April Fool's joke. Also, the Bible listed multiple prophesies. A lot of those prophesies mentioned in the Old Testament were fulfilled in the New Testament. How is that possible? And let's talk science once more. There are two 'blips' in time that science can't figure out. There are two days that scientists acknowledge happened, but they can't explain it. One is a day that lasted more than a day. The Bible says (remember this was written thousands of years ago) God held the sun in the sky in order for His people to see while they were at war. Another account is when the sun was in the sky just a little longer than it was supposed to be. 2 Kings chapters 18-20 explain that King Hezekiah asked for a few more years of life. God said He would send a sign. Elijah and Hezekiah went to the sun dial and the shadow miraculously went backward. Scientists also admit the flood, but they don't know for sure as to what caused it.
And let's talk very shortly on the importance of Christianity. If you're atheist, and there is no god, then what? You die. That's it. If you're Buddhist or Hindu, and it's true, then what? You're reincarnated and you live again. Now, if you're Christian, and there is the God, then what? You spend eternity in Heaven. If you don't believe in God, and there is the God, then what? You spend eternity in Hell. I'm not trying to scare you. It's just facts. And that's not to say God is some b*e who doesn't let you have your own free will. It's just like worldly law. You can either commit a crime and arrested, or not commit a crime and be free. Who wouldn't want to spend eternity in paradise?
Also, I missed answering this question. Yes, there a very many homosexuals that are older. Liberace, Rip Taylor, the guy Mrs. Doubtfire, Dale from The Green Mile, many painters and philosophers. You can go to Six Flags on National g* Day and answer that question for yourself.
A lot of people don't believe in God because they haven't experienced Him. If everyone believed in God, there would be no purpose for The Great Comission (Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). I experience God on a daily basis. Prayers get answered. People are healed. I've been healed. It's not just mental. People don't mentally come back from the dead. People aren't mentally healed of broken limbs. I can challenge you to give God a chance. To put your entire faith in a Being you can't see and (you in particular apparently) haven't felt. But the challenge won't work because of your doubt. So I challenge you to read the Bible and only the Bible. Find any contradiction with it. Don't find something in the Bible and then let it contradict another book. Find out if the Bible contradicts itself. There's no way all these artists are 100% accurate without the help of a supreme Being. Now let me catch myself here. You will find in Matt, Mark, and Luke a few differences in the way some things happened. But if you read, the books are entitled "The Gospel According To (name)" so one may have seen one, and one may have seen another.

"If you're going to use the word 'shit', use it right. Don't use it as an exclamatory."
    Holy s*t! Thx for explication.
When I was reading your message, I was asking me "how it is possible someone believe that?"
To be honest, it takes more faith and ignorance to believe in science. Man, really, you think that?! You really think God created humans, all this bullshit?
Now open you'are biologie book, and watch about evolution. It will help you. They're is so many evidence in the science and nothing who prove God have, just 1minut existed. Woah, so hard to believe Science. But has me know all, talk that to someone who have faith and he will ignore contradicting evidence and keep is idea forever.
If you have no God, you have no rules. No morals. Just do what you want.
Sorry, but you have really a problem in your head man Oo. I have no god and. I have rules. Moral, seems more than you, watch about homosexuality. Man, I'm not a sheep like you are. I have rules yep. Do you know Civil Code? You can found in a lots of rules for each human. Too bad, your "no gods, no rules" seems to be wrong (like all in religion).
So I don't do what I want. Too bad huh. I would like to kill religion and all about this s*t for a better world. Too bad, I can't. Cause rules tell me to let my neighbor think what they want:/
Homosexuality has been considered wrong since the beginning of time.
For man like you, yep, it's wrong. For the other, it's different. Every people don't have a notion of right and wrong like you, the grey color exist too.
"Many homosexuals have mental issues such as depression, anger problems, etc."
Woah, what a nice joke! You know, do not let people do what they want about sexuality can give some disease, like you said, depression but suicide too. Some parents don't accept they have children who are g* and can bring them to death. This is not really better.
"The other girl may not have remembered the night due to drunkenness as well. But she will eventually have a deja vu moment and say "Wait. Did I enjoy that? Why am I all of a sudden not enjoying this guy's kiss? What's wrong with me? ""
Woah, she just discover she is lesbian and. Wait, and what? She discover she can find another pleasure with a girl. So, she will go with a girl. I have a question for you. How many lesbian who are olded have you seen in your life? Scuse me, haven't heard. Less than. 2! Woah! They're is maybe a reason. Huum, let me see. For a while, a girl discover she can take good time with another girl. She is young, she discover her body, fine, she take pleasure. She is lesbian during. 5 years and what? She discover she need something else, she needs a child, different love. And she found a man, have child. She is not different than other girl, she have just experiment more thing during his life.
Cause yep, you can try to find old lesbian, you will don't find them cause this is just a "young problem".
How many times must a person play to be called a player? How many times must a person drive to be called a driver? How many times a person must watch science fiction films to be called a science fiction fan? Now. You would probably say lots of times for every one of those. Or at least most of them.
It's ridiculous? Yep, totally, like this part of your comment.
And for your email, Hey people, if you want to become a good little Christian, talk to chris! You will think science suxxe, god roxxe! Gogo sheep!

Ok, I'm a lesbian and I sorta hate this song. It sorts demeans the whole lesbian thing. I know a lot of people experiment, and don't have a problem with it. But. "Don't mean I'm in love tonight?" "It's not what, good girls do
Not how they should behave? " Not saying that straight people don't do this too. But this song is about getting drunk and fooling around. She really knows how to string a song up, but still. It all sort of gets across the point that, for guys, you definitely need a connection, but girls don't really matter. This is just me saying. Not a horrible song, and, like I said, she knows how to put together a song with the technical musical side, but it feels like she completely demeans everything being lesbian is. Aside from that, it's fun.

I am not a good person, and neither is anyone else. The bible says we all fall short of the glory of God, and that there is none good, no not one. If anyone thinks they are good, they are wrong. You will have to face a holy and just God on Judgement day. Please, turn from sin, and put your trust in the lord jesus christ, and read your bible, and follow what it says. Do you still sin, sure, do I, sure, but I don't wallow in it.

For a singer who isn't g* or even endorsed by the g* community (I mean real g*, not Myspace bisexuals) I'm surprised that this song is causing such a fuss between the irate Christians and "bi" party girls.
This song really doesn't promote homosexuality and if Perry meant it to, it does a shitty job. The irate Christians should be rejoicing at this silly little song for portraying gays as being attention whores and living promiscuous, drunken and demented lives! (Which the majority of us do not) Both God and being g* are about love. This song is not about love, its about some drunk tramp wth a boyfriend going out and playing an "experimental game" with some girl who she doesn't know, or even care to.
Perry's background is as a christian singer. Between this song and "UR so Gay" (heinous misspelling also) she is bashing g* men for being effeminate and making lesbianism seem like a phase! Those are the worst stereotypes that straight people have about homosexuals. It is painful enough for me, a lesbian, to hear "that's soo gay!" about every little f*g thing. Before all you trendy little Myspace bisexuals go around being "proud" of your ridiculous antics and bringing scorn on the rest of us, pick up a newspaper, turn on the news, read a book. Vote! And if that's just too much for your liquored up brain, the least you could do is stop saying "that's so gay."
Maybe the irate Christians are right. Maybe we are all going to hell, if you believe in such a thing. But if we do it won't be for being g*, but for being so f*g stupid. Don't pay 99 cents for this.

It is disgusting. Also katy perry is taping an episode of the young and restless. They are doing a magazine called restless style. Well, according to this song she was in the club with her drink and she was overcome with lust just to see what it would feel like to kiss a girl. And now she is going to be on the cover of restless style. So what the magazine is saying she was so restless that she felt like she had to kiss a girl. How sad it is that all these young people do is party, drug, hump this person and the next without any remorse or feeling. I can't believe y and are would allow this on the show. I just realized this was happening and I wish that I could of found out about it earlier to start a protest.

Human nature is to be attracted to other people whether you are in a relationship or not. But I don't think her intentions are to say that gays and lesbians are cheaters. I think the song is about a girl who got drunk, drunk enough to kiss another girl (even though she has a boyfriend) and turns out she liked it. Sounds like every straight girl I ever made out with.

Of course this song will turn into a religious debate. So, I will start of by saying what "Good ol'e red blooded Christian American boy" has never masterbated to the image, video, or thought of two women making out or having s*. I really doubt there are many who can say they haven't.
Secondly, this song will be popular simply because most straight women have had "liquid courage" and in fact kissed a girl. Due to the taboo nature of it most of us were left feeling giddy like we did something bad and high off all the attention it harnessed.
It's not a gay/straight, left/right, or religious issue it's simply a song about showing affection towards another human being. Stop the separation of the human race by putting everyone in different box. We are all people. We love, hate, cry, and laugh the same.
It's a fun song that I happen to like. Most girls night outs will probably include us singing this song and having a blast as girls usually do when they go out together!

    Ok ok, shutup already.
So the fact that Katy Perry made this song and also stated she is a Christian is a contradiction. It doesn't matter if the lyrics states and/or interpretes that she is drunk, having a fun time, just experimenting and not being serious; Perry should already know the consequences of making this song. End of that, now to the part of where the topics just crashes and burns.
Yes, Biblically homosexuality is wrong. There was not a point where the later books stated anything else new or changing of that topic. It does not work with the nature of the world and/or anywhere else. However, with the "miracle" of science (that's a oxymoron statement) crazy things can happen. Cloning, splicing, stem cell research, and all whatever else are some rediculous unhumane sh-t that is out there. But the thing is, whatcha gonna do? Use your human rights to fight the evils of the world? Uhhh no. But there is one thing that differs us from what nature "intended", a free will. We are all are able to decide what we choose to do. The whole reasoning of right and wrong was created by us. Nature never said "hey, you f--ked up, get it right" no, we only say that to each other. So if someone has an opinion differing from yours, deal with it. You're not gonna be able to change what they choose to believe.
Please, please! Don't ever bring religion into an argument, cause even if everyone shares the same main belief, that does not mean everyone shares what follows after it. You can be really casual "pray to G and ask for forgiveness, and Im golden" or the extremest like the 'The Westbrough Baptist Church' who says God damn all Amercans. It doesn't matter who you are, it all still falls under what your opinion is. So unless one of you are reincarnated from death and says that G hates fags and anyone else who don't go against them are not going to heaven, then maybe i'll think about it but otherwise I will still be who I chose to be.
Inyourface, you threw me off a little when you stated "The process which you speak of is not natural and does not occur outside of freak show science experiments. So my response to this is that it is not natural and therefore invalid as an argument point." at the beginning and "P.S I sure I mentioned this the first time I commented. I don't like basing arguments on the premise of religious ideology. I prefer science." Now with my overly open-minded 10% used brain, that somewhat contradicted itself or maybe you were trying to say [natural] science. But I would rather not have you state this in your possible next comment cause I'd rather not waste your time or mine on that. Earlier, when I stated that nature wasnt "anticipating" our free-will, aside from choices it also means emotions and personality. You're not going to see a dog wishing its nails were shorter or a bear worrying its eyelashes are too long. Its all just human perception. Homosexuality is not just s*. Sooo many people, when anyone brings up the idea of homosexuality their mind would go straight to the gutter. Get it right, if you can't find the one true love of the opposite s*, shot down, or just can't get anything right-who else would know that pain other than someone of the same s* who experienced the same trials. I'm not g*, I don't see myself in love with a guy, but if my only foundation is him, I'm not letting go. Now if someone out there who would be able to choose to take that step into same s* relationships, then have at it. If they can comfort you more than anyone else then why can't you? Cause in nature its wrong? Cause it's genetically impossible? You can't say an emotion is wrong or right. Science can't cay anything aside from "an emotion is just chemicals bouncing into each other in your brain" yea that helps, and nature can't do jack cause our emotions drive the world we live in. If it wasnt for the creation of humanity, nature would drive it.
What was learned from this? Keep your opinions to yourselves, if there was one thing I want you to get out of this it would be "breathe in, let it sit, breathe out, and let it go"
    P. S. If what I just typed was confusing, off-topic, or just wierd; breathe in, let it sit, breathe out, and let it go.

I think that it's wonderful somebody finally wrote a hit song about kissing a girl. Do you know how many people feel that way? And yes younger kids as well. I they think it's wrong. I think it's great now they know it's ok. How ever you feel either way is right And I think the song make people realize it. Weither you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend it's your choice. I think the song is awesome! Can't wait until someone writes a song about men kissing men. Yea sounds gross, ew. Yucky. But maybe kids need to know that's alright too. If a song can make a differance in peoples lives, then it did what it was meant for. Go katy!

Chris, I just want to tell you thanks. I know it may be odd, since half the time I argue with you. However, you have made me realize certain things I could not have realized on my own.
Surprisingly, you inspire me with your wisdom of the Bible. I think it may be your gift to gradually make others see the light of the subject.
And as for the last question, I cannot answer it right away. I love God with all my heart, mind, and soul. I am only recently discovering his works and miracles. But it's not something I can recognize quickly. To be honest, I know being bisexual is a choice we make. And I know I want to be a loved child of God.
    But seriously, Chris, thank you.

Okay, well then are you saying there is not a way for homosexual people to enter the Gates of Heaven?
Because in my opinion, God would never hold one of his children, who are willing to work and live for Him, out from the wonders of His world.
I have been waiting for Him and seearching for Him in every aspect of the world, mind, and readings. And although you are trying ot to insult me about the "voice", I know it's Him. And I'm not saying I know for a fact he approves or even dissaproves, I just know He wants me to know He is still there and loves me.
He loves all his children. Whether they happen to be straight, black, white, or even homosexual. He can't hold who we are, think we are, or are becoming against us.

    Chris,.
I fully understand where you are coming from. Sure, Hitler, Osama, and Sadam were immoral and God loved them. Yeah, He did make man and woman to reproduce. He made them different in order to do this. It's basically anatomy and physiology. And yes, this song is wrong on more than one level. However, unlike most, I have more of a problem with the drinking of the song than that of the homosexuality. Maybe it is because I am partial to that part.
And of course, lusting is immoral. However we do it without concern, at the time, because it is pleasuring. Although, that is not any excuse.
I don't admit that homosexuality, and bisexuality) is a sin because although I believe fully in every single thing in the Bible, I focus on what I believe God is telling me. Yeah, He's going to love me no matter what is happening, and I don't believe being bisexual is going to chance me getting into God to live an eternal life with Him.

Yea so I'm not a really big fan of this song but you guys need to stop talking s*t. People are who they are. Love isn't about sex/gender/religion/skin color. Its about two people loving eachother and wanting to spend the rest of their lifes together. G** is not a choice. Its something that happens and they can't change it. So get a life, grow up and get over yourselves. No matter how much you want someone to change nothing will happen. So stop wasting your time if they mean that little to you.

Blob. I'm not saying you have to believe in God. God gave us free will. We choose whether or not we believe in Him. He exists, whether we believe or not (or so I believe. Hehe). But if you do believe in Him, then you'd follow His command that says do not commit sexual immorality. Homosexuality is considered by God to be sexually immoral. So, being Atheist and homosexual go hand in hand. But not Christian and homosexual. However, many other religions also shun the act of homosexuality. There is a logical reason, and health reason, and a biological reason for being against homosexuality.
Ok, and I researched the shellfish ordeal a little more. Read Leviticus and you will find that Moses said shellfish is an abomination to you (Leviticus 11: 10-12). The first thing is that Moses said "for these things are an abomination to YOU." He didn't say they're an abomination to God. So this basically means "if you eat it... you're going to get sick." It's almost the opposite effect of incest. Back then, it wasn't bad because a) that was the only way to populate the world and b) the gene pool wasn't so corrupt and incestuous offspring weren't born with defects. Most of the world's bodies have become immune to shellfish allergies, so it's no longer bad for us.
Lastly, Leviticus, though God-inspired, consists primarily of earthly laws that blend with religion and just plain logic. The shellfish idea was a logical one. Read Acts 10: 9. It was Peter who had the dream from God saying it's ok to eat the shellfish.

Wow there's so many funny comments lol, I like the song but its not anything to stress over, it is what it is a song. However I don't know how the bible fits into the meaning of the song? I'm not trying to put you down in any way Chrisfisha but its a bit weird that you take peoples comments and make it about the bible? I am a catholic but I am not going to take others opinions and then revise to them passages from the bible to people that don't understand it or want to, I just don't see the point when it probably falls upon deaf ears anyway, and really therfore I find a waste of time, but then again it is just my opinion and I am merely only one person in this world.

S*t, you guys! Nobody is going to come to an agreement about this song. Personally, I love this song. Yeah, I've already mentioned I am bisexual and I'm a Chrsitian, whatever. There is nothing wrong with this song, so think what you want to think about this song, but don't bash this song and try to prove a point that isn't there.
And, Chrisfisha-Crossriff, I understand you are trying to prove this song goes against all Christian morals and against everything in the Bible, but it is only a song. Although, I do admire your dedication to the Bible.

    Hi to all,
My church will be looking at these lyrics to start a discussion on how the world changed (seemingly) overnight. We're also hearing Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" and looking at the lyrics to the Jonas Bros' "A Little Bit Longer." Yes, I'm an old fogey, as we used to say in the 70s. I also know how much I want to learn from the youth & vice versa. Gotta admit - this is the first time my jaw dropped when I turned on the radio! If you were to talk about this song in church, what would you say (keeping in mind that "sucks" is not a word we can use and still be respectful of one another). I know some will be truly ticked & some will love it, but my goal is that we will all still want to be in the same sanctuary when the discussion is over.

First of all, let me start by saying that everyone up to this point has wasted their time because my opinion is the only correct one.
Secondly, I hate homosexuals. Why? Because God tells me to. It's simply the right thing to do. Another thing I hate is the American culture. Yes, all of it. But for the sake of brevity I will only touch on the parts that pertain to this particular thread.
Our culture makes girls at ease to try things like this by putting out songs such as this one. Not good. If a guy even has the hint of a thought of maybe potentially possibly liking the taste of another guy, he immediately labels himself as g*. Good. However, girls can step wayyy over the line and still be able to call themselves "straight" with a straight face. Laughable. "Um ya i done it b4 and i like it but dat don't mean i'm sum kinda lesbo lol. i like lookn at gurls but i still gots me a bf." This is what we term "bullshit," ladies and gentlemen.
Also, as a girl, I can say that I am attracted to guys. Does this mean that I believe guys to be better looking than girls? Of course. Any girl who says otherwise needs to close her soft, red lips and get down and start eating carpet.

    Sciencenerd,.
I believe if it did occur that it is a mutation or genetic accident. If one studies the biological functions of the body they will notice that not only does the desires in mind for the same s* (be it chemical, neurological or whatever) contradict its functions but it also strays from norm that we can use as a standard. A standard to measure wether or not the psyche runs congruent with the innate biological functions of the body.
It might be of interest to know that there has been a surge in the homosexuality. And that men have by far have experimented with same s* more then women. Some believe it to be in a certain gene pool and or limited gene pool. There for spreading the gene. But personally believe that its more of a dietary factor that creates high levels of estrogen in men. This may sound absurd but if one looks on the back almost every prepackaged or processed food box that there is an ingredient know as soy lecithin or soy oil. Studies have proven that soy increases the amount of estrogen in men. Just to show how vital it is to be properly balanced chemically; if a man looses his testicles (the producer of testosterone) not only will he lose the strength that his gender is know for but also his facial hair, male voice and desire for females. Contrary to popular belief. Soy has been proven to have more then one harmful effect. Soy used to be used to make boxes. We have our glorious fda to thank for that. Think the fda protects us? Well I state a fact that might make you think otherwise. The fda said its safe to purify our water with chlorine. A little history lesson. Chlorine was the used to make a gas called bertholite or chlorine gas. That gas and method of warfare was banned in most of the worlds developed countries because of the effects it had on men. Even Hitler didn't use it in warfare because he thought it was evil. That's bad because he is said to be the most evil man to have ever lived.
Well, I hope that answers your question sciencenerd. Sorry, it took so long but I have preoccupied.

This song is a piece of trash. My friend showed it to me and neither of us like it. Kiss whoever you want, boy or girl, but you don't have to parade around shouting "im gay, im lesbian" just like most people don't parade around saying "im straight, im straight"! I'm a girl, and I don't intend to write a song saying I kissed a guy and I liked it, or anything like that! G/l/b relationships are just like any other, they don't need to be announced to the world!

That's what she's getting right now. I, for one, will make this my final post and my final "click" to this link. I'd hate to see it as number one for the next few months.

How hypocrite to say that you have absolutely nothing against homosexuals but then go "blahblahblah it's wrong, it's being exposed, etc" not only you are a close-minded person, but you are also double-edged :) why do you people make such a big deal about it? How many songs are there talking about kissing between straight people & kids do listen to them, but just because this is about a girl kissing a girl, oh my god, world war three. Get over it, if you don't like the song just don't hear it but stop making all the drama. Just because you are some kind of homophobic -and yes, you are being a homophobic by believing that it's okay to write about straight people s* & all that but it's completely wrong to write about g*-kissing or g*-s*; you are just separating them from the rest of people & that's stupid, really.-

It will only be appreciated for people who are "OPEN MINDED" even they're not lesbians. I'm not lesbian but I can't say it's "gross" to kiss a girl as well.
Girls are born to be sweet and I won't care if girls might be kissing especially if it's just for fun. Who cares? Unless there's someone hurting. ; p

    Kim,
Read the following scriptures, especially the second one. It mentioned homosexuality specifically. As well as other things. So I'm not just picking on homosexuality (observe that I don't hate the homosexual himself/herself), but drunkenness, idolatry, theft. Etc.
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" Matthew 7: 21-23.
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11.
"...no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them." Ephesians 5: 5-7
"...the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Galatians 5: 19-21 cuz she is thebest love kim.

It is wrong. If this does not bother a Christian, then something is wrong with you. The bible says this type of thing is wrong, look at nature, yes this is wrong. God does not love you no matter what. Jesus will say to those who practice lawlessness (diving into sin constantly) depart from me, and these are to people who call him lord. Look it up, don't fool yourself so called Christians. It does not matter if you believe, if you believe and don't repent, then you don't have a saving faith. Without repentance, (a turning from sin) there is no salvation. God does hate sin.

    Hey Chrisfisha-Crossriff, you said:.
"There is no way a person can be an active Christian and a homosexual. When the Bible says "Homosexuality is an abomination" it means don't do it. How is it possible for someone who believes in God to overlook that scripture?"
Indeed! The Bible is very specific about a lot of things, and I am glad you brought this up. Much like there is no way for a person to be an active Christian and eat shrimp. Those who do will burn in eternal hellfire, as every good Christian knows that God's word is that shrimp is an abomination, like homosexuality. The Old Testament is very clear on these things. I myself intend to sell my future daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21: 7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? I have a friend who has been asked to work on the Sabbath, and he intends to. As he should be put to death for this (as the Bible says), I am hoping the community can band together for a public stoning, and that I am not obligated to do it by myself.
Thank you for your dedication to God's word!

Aw damn. No one likes my helpful contribution to the comments? Gutted.-7. It almost makes me wanna cry. :(
My point (well. I didn't actually have a point I was just really hyper on sugar.^^) was that I'm actually bi, and that no one should care. About anyone being bi/g**. Because when you care that much about too people of the same s** loving/kissing/sexing each other. Then that's just sad. Try worrying about your own love life rather than bitching about other peoples.
Also, I think there is more than one point of this song: one, to create controversy/make people question there beliefs and opinions of same s** relations; and two, to make a really good and catchy song. :)
so really, everyone who is arguing about this is doing exactly what was meant to happen - bringing gays/lesbians and the issues surrounding into the light.
I think its a really good song, because where I live no one even thought about gays/lesbians, and didn't even think that there are any in the area. And the song is making everyone think more about it and understand that lesbians/gays/bisexuals actually do exist. So, yeah. I like it. : D

So all this bullshit needs to stop. Besides, it's just a song. Leave it at that.

Girls kissing girls feels normal. I can't explain why but maybe (female) beauty is something that both sexes are attracted to.
Ten years ago in New Delhi, India - before the Madonna-Britney-Christina kisses popularised intra female kissing - I knew two girls who were good friends of mine. With one of them I used to talk dirty a lot. The reason we never made out was that I always had at least two regular girlfriends at a given time so never had time for her.
We'd known each other for five years and had been having phone s* for a year. One day she asked me to have real s* with her. By then I was engaged to a very attractive and hot girl. I didn't feel like having hamburger outside when I was having steak at home!
But she kept insisting that I have s* with her so I said: "Look if you can get Sandy (the other girl, whose real name was Sandhya) in for a threesome, you can do anything you want in bed with me."
She agreed and talked Sandy into it. She phoned me and said Sandy's agreed on a threesome provided it's at her place when her folks are away. I agreed.
I then asked what she'll do when things heat up. She said, anything you want. I said, will you kiss her body all over and have s* with her? She said, anything you want boss!
I said I wan't a full-on lesbian show before I would even start making love to them. She said she had no problems. There is a lot more she agreed to do with Sandy that I can't describe here!
Now all three of us were (and still are) heterosexual. The two girls are both married to men and I don't even know where they are.
But the fact is they both agreed to a threesome where they agreed to put up a lesbian show for me.
They were not repulsed by the idea of performing lesbian acts before me. Now, if Sharon Stone - my biggest crush in the 1990s - had told me she would have s* with me for as long as I wanted, provided I did homo acts with her lover, I would be totally put off. No way, Sharon!
So there you have it. When Katy Perry says girls are so kissable etc, she means it. Two good looking healthy girls kissing each other evokes only pleasant images. While two boys doing it creates revulsion.
Oh yes, that threesome never happened. Sandy's company Nestle called her to work on the Sunday that we were planning to do it. And things never fell into place again. Frankly, I was a bit relieved as I was on high anxiety, wondering if I'd be able to satisfy two women together!

I know ther are quite alot of people out there who are thinking omg she's a lesbien and she's openly writing a song about it but it's no big deal. Although many people don't want to admit it there are plenty of lesbiens who are open and protest for lesbien rights. So next time your thinking wow katie perry is amazing stop and star contemplating the fact that she's not the only one and others are open about gayness without getting money out of it. This is how I feel but everyones free to their own opinion, it's one of lifes great gifts.

Aww man all you F*kin arseholes out there complaining tht this song is promoting "uncommited" relationships and g* tendancies. Get a life. I mean its not like this song alone is going to alter your sexuality. I think there might b a bit more to it than tht! People tht are as easily offended as some artist singing some lyrics to a song really need to get out more and focus on something a little more important. Possibly our troops in iraq? The price of petrol? How much tony blair ruined britain(some controversial subjects like tht)? This song is catchy and amazingly done, I aint no "lesbo" and I aint offended! Any Girl tht aint kissed another girl whether its a friend or a random or whether its a peck or tongues. You guys are missing out. Its a little bit sad all you guys are missing out. Its fun and most of the time a total laugh! My personal response to people tht go off on one about "lesbo and gay" songs and movies like this are tht secretly they just wanna try it for them self but arent comfortable enough with their own sexuality! Rant over. Peace out hommies;)

    I seriously dislike this song.
    Girls kissing girls = awesome.
Girls with boyfriends kissing anyone else of either gender = cheating = not-acceptable-to-be-glorifying.
Besides, human evolution taken into consideration [which I assume she would have to be implying, as religion tends to frown on such things] it's hardly "human nature". That doesn't even make sense.
Therefore: advancing acceptance of homo/bisexuality, awesome.
But those of alternative sexualities shouldn't automatically be represented as cheaters, and there are breaks in the logical.

Whoever wrote this song was obviously playing up to the homosexual buying market, without giving a thought or any consideration to what such lyrics do to young kids who are still growing up. In Britain, we already have the highest rates of sexually transmitted infections in Western Europe, and with songs that exploit a child's sexuality like this, it's like child abuse really. All for profit. 'i kissed a girl and I liked it' - yeah, like it's really original. Not. And there's kids out there singing this as if it's cool to be bisexual or closet homosexual. Please! Those who are really cool are breaking boundaries by contributing to making the world a better place, not going on about s* and sexuality and corrupting the minds of impressionable teenagers and kids. That's not cool, it's sick. It's even revelling in the fact that this is an 'uncommitted' affair behind her boyfriend's back. It takes all that is bad in human nature and presents that as cool to our young kids. That's not even sick, it's evil.

Everyone knows the meaning to these lyrics. Its disgusting, and unfair to be bombarding our young girls with the homosexual agenda. Its amazing how everyone who pushes this down our throats, say we are not "open minded" when in actuality, the young people who are listening to it are the ones who are not open minded, they are just sheep following the media crowd. I heard this song being played on the Disney Channel! Is nothing safe for our kids anymore? What does it benefit society to push them into s* at such an early age?

    Luvduv,
Ok so science has once again gone against nature. Soon You'll be saying its ok to splice monkeys with human babies. The process which you speak of is not natural and does not occur outside of freak show science experiments. So my response to this is that it is not natural and therefore invalid as an argument point.
Now for the(*as well as the fact that in any given pairing of genes, anomolies causing gender confusion has been documented, especially in the cases of cross gendered persons, (one being with both a male and female reproductive system, both fully functioning.) and transgendered persons (male born with all the right parts but with a brain chemically functioning as a female and vice versa) part. I said that being g* can be only two of three things, wrong and in the medium. Being a transgendered person and a chemically imbalanced person definitely falls in the medium they are not right nor wrong.
My hats off to you on using Christianity to defend gays. Bold but not exactly aiding in your argument. The whole point of the passages below are to teach people to fight against a sinful nature. Meaning one who lives a life like that and does not try to change live according to the law is not forgiven. That's the idea of forgiveness. I am a little annoyed that I actually had to explain that. So on that note your argument is invalid because one you audaciously became G-d and said "if these words hold to be true then "sinners" every where will not even end up in heavan any way and wont ruin your precious sacred space". Which makes you judge and not G-d. And two you literally misinterpreted the passages.
I want to thank you for your respect luvduv. But I am also doing fine on my own path to enlightenment. And yes I am frustrated that people can go rewrite religion in favor of themselves and clam to be right when they are wrong. I don't need proof that most of the major religions do not sanction same s* relationships because its common knowledge and if you look it up you'll find it true.
Also I love diversity I take pride in that I think outside of the box as an nonconformist. I love to experience other cultures. And culture is all the diversity this world needs. Not s* diversity.
And with all do respect luduv I stop taking moral and life lessons form Disney sense I left toddler hood. We live in a world that's not warm or nice. That's something learned from teenage hood. For those who wish do debate me further please read carefully because I really do hate going over things twice.
As for you molly 3232 I love the part where you stopped debating and just stared cursing and insulting. Because its indicative that your brain went as far as it could go three pages ago. Not as far as I thought I would go. Sigh. Even more of a disappointment. :)
    Warm thoughts.
    Inyourface,.
    P. S I sure I mentioned this the first time I commented. I don't like basing arguments on the premise of religious ideology. I prefer science.

    Dear.
    Molly 3232.
Wow brainless dude wanna be! If I hated gays I would just try and revive the inquisition and employ the idea purging the different. I personally would not waste my time on hating such a person. It makes no difference and gains me nothing.
And I guess reproduction is just to complex of an idea for you to grasp. So it would appear to you that I am wrong. But clearly you just don't know what hell you are talking about.
And about you rewriting the Christian faith; it doesn't work like that. You can't live the life you do and expect someone like you to be forgiven. Because you never change or even feel that what you do is against the Christianity. I am not going to debate this on the grounds of religion. I don't need to. What I said before remains true not matter how bad your simple minded feelings get hurt :(
Interesting opinion on questioning ones sexuality. But you are incorrect to think that she doesn't help (push) things more in the other direction. Its simple psychology. Do your research you'll see. Do you even know what education means and or reasoning. If not I'll tell you, "its something functional, intelligent, and healthy brains do". (You do know what a brain is right? And that you have one)? Or do you?
I may be judgmental. But there are three things in these universe that are Universal and that is that there are wrong, right and in the medium things. Being g* is usually only one but I believe it can be two. Being g* is wrong and or in the medium. But never right.
    Found thoughts,

She also claims to be a Christian (though not the typical Christian) and released a gospel cd. This and "UR So Gay" don't seem to reflect that. Is homosexuality wrong? Yea. I'm not homophobic. But it is wrong. Even some gays would agree. But one thing you don't do is claim to be Christian and write this. Our religion already has too many bad seeds and child molesters covered up by that word.
Don't say you're a Christian if you're not even going to try and act like one.

I like this song but I not so sure I like the lyrics though. I don't like listening to songs my parents might not like. Its not that I have anything against people who are like I just like songs that have a good beat like this. Has anyone listened to touch my body. I liked that song until I looked up the lyrics. Yeah I am a goodie-goodie. If you except bisexual people except me too. You know what I like about this song. The beat that's it. And basically by the lyrics she was drunk when she did this.): (

Its wrong to give Christians a bad rep. By contradicting her words and actions. I want to make a few points, but first let me say that I don't hate gays. I just don't approve of the life style from a completely intellectual point of view. I mean even if I wanted to take the religious route it is obvious that all the main religions do not sanction such a relationship. Religions like Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam and Catholicism. Do you think that there might be a reason for that? Of course not you don't think.
Look from an intellectual point of view excluding G-d from this it is not natural for people to be g*. That simple. You might ask where do I get that? Well if nature and or evolution intended for people to be g* then same sexes could reproduce humans. Man and man (or women and woman) can't make children together. Goes against even nature. We are not programed genetically to be together. And that's all I have to say to you simple minded people about that.
As for you idiots defending her. Well you are stupid because its obvious that she is insinuating that she finds pleasure from intimacy with her same s*. Meaning; being with girls feels goood. And she advocates that to young (or girls of any age) girls who look to her as a role model. By perpetuating the social taboo of girls being with girls. She opens the mind more to the idea and creates curiosity which might not have been there other wise. Therefore creating unnecessary sexual preference confusion. Where one might ask them self's hmm? Em I g*? Well it feels good so maybe. What feels good isn't always what's right. Crack, heroin, weed, coke, all feel good so maybe that's ok to right? Good G-d I think I've said enough. Anyway I don't think most of you will get this anyway.
