I personally believe that this song symbolizes the social life of someone who is depressed. Telling people that "its a wonderful day". The fact that this is in the chorus might symbolize the repetetive mindset you will get into. You tell yourself this over and over, hoping that you'll start believing it. Or, i dont know, its just an actual upbeat song.
