Why did William start to write songs, In an article I found by rolling stones. It explains how writing down songs for him was a survival strategy that soon turned out to be a prediction for his future. He's become famous off of it and is able to introduce the world to his struggles, pain and achievements and how he's found happiness. “It was a way to slow down time” he says “slow down everything and focus on what i'm feeling and how to express it”. This brings me back to a theme analysis paragraph I did on “Like a River” I wrote about how people write to reduce their built on stress as a way to cope and get things off their chest which is exactly what Willam prince is doing. What I found interesting about his situation is that even in his darkest times, he's pulled through it and always knew that he was going to make it through this and was hoping that his songs and words will become a tale of his survival.
