I've heard Dottie tell the story of the writing of this song. Her family was doing the altar call music at the end of a service. The Holy Spirit of God spoke to her and said, "Open your mouth and I will fill it." She looked at the band and said, "The key of 'D,' and follow me." She wrote the song as she sang it. She was one amazing person!

I just love the song this was the first time I heard it and it can right at a time when I am going through a situation with a great grand-son, one I can't fix that I need God to take charge of for me and at the same time my health is failing me so badly I am 82 years old and I really need the Lord to intervene for me.
I do know He is able without a doubt I know He is able.
